A PhD student has been expelled from Gujarat Vidyapith after he and friends, who are not students, were found consuming non-vegetarian food and alcohol in his hostel room. The student ran away and his room has been sealed while the head of the hostel management committee has been asked to investigate and ensure no outsiders are allowed to enter the hostel.
