A brand new catering establishment in Utrecht Science Park welcomes students, teachers, businesses and visitors to its new campus living room. On Saturday 6 April, Grand Café The Basket closed its doors and a hundred metres away on Weg tot de Wetenschap, a new hospitality venue has been built. The new beating heart of the campus is the perfect location to meet, study, meet, eat and celebrate amid a homely and relaxed atmosphere.
Green inside and out
You can literally and figuratively feel the love for green in Grand Café LIVING: the building with sustainable and energy-efficient materials is owned by Utrecht University. Brothers Horeca Groep takes care of the catering operation. Generous windows offer an abundance of natural light and the large open space feels like coming home with cosy seating areas and many lush plants, which purify the air and refresh the mind. An inspiration room can also be rented out for meetings, presentations or drinks. Grand Café LIVING is thus the ideal place for relaxed lounging, undisturbed study, fruitful meetings and, of course, celebrating life.
The concept
Located 100 metres away from the former Grand Café The Basket, Grand Café LIVING welcomes guests with a cosy ambiance and an all-day menu that will delight your taste buds at any time of the day. The menu, which includes breakfast, healthy bowls and brasserie classics, has the common denominator of using sustainable, healthy and fresh ingredients as much as possible. After all, on a campus, brain food is very important.
is open on weekdays from 9 am to 9.30 pm and on weekends upon request.
