Guest faculty in government polytechnic and engineering colleges across the Indian state of Karnataka have reported that they have not been paid their salaries on time for over four months. President of Puttur’s Akhila Karnataka Sarkari Polytechnic Arekalika Upanyasakara Sangha, M Prashantha, highlighted that among the issues faced by the lecturers are poor pay and being required to undertake work performed by permanent faculty members.
