The Education Minister of West Bengal, Bratya Basu, has accused the Governor, C V Ananda Bose, of not including any academics from the state in his proposed search committee for shortlisting candidates for the vice chancellor's post. Basu claimed that the governor's intent is to have puppets who will dance to his tunes. The state, on the other hand, has included an eminent academician from the Indian Statistical Institute in its search committee.
