The event included a recognition ceremony for Mason Korea employees with five to ten years of service. Janette Muir, vice provost for academic affairs and chair of the Mason Korea LLC Board, presented awards to five-year employees. Robert Matz, dean of Mason Korea, honored those with six to nine years of service, and George Mason University President Gregory Washington recognized faculty and staff with 10 years of service—those who have been at Mason Korea since it opened.

The event featured a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the pep band and Mason Korea’s student bands, Crescent and Sketch. The electric energy of the bands filled the banquet hall with a mix of English and Korean pop hits.
