Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI has launched the next edition of GenNext on The Road – a platform that gives winners of the prestigious INIFD presents GenNext program, the opportunity to showcase their new collection showcased at fashion week, in leading multi-designer stores across the country.



The ‘INIFD presents GenNext’ program has been a sought-after platform for young, talented designers that gives an opportunity to bring them to the center stage in the fashion industry. The GenNext program identifies, mentors, and recognizes young designers season on season giving them the opportunity to showcase their work on a global platform like Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI

The first leg of the five-city tour commenced at AZA in Mumbai followed by ENSEMBLE at DLF Emporio in New Delhi, ELAHE URBAN in Hyderabad, THE AMETHYST ROOM in Chennai and will conclude in BOMBAIN in Kolkata.

The designer wear to be put on display at the multi-brand luxury fashion store The Amethyst Room, Chennai on Tuesday and Wednesday this week are from houses that carved a niche as they debuted as the 35th batch of GenNext winners at the recently held season of Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI in Mumbai. The store has a dedicated section to showcase collections of the four designers namely, Hiral Jajal (Hiro), Kunaal Kyhaan (Koytoy), Anugrah Chandra (KoAi), and Rudraksh Dwivedi (Rudraksh Dwivedi).

Hiro by Hiral Jalal is presenting the “Dystopian Bride”, a collection of denim masterpieces inspired from a post-apocalyptic world. “Maharaja by the Bay” by Kunaal Kyhaan is showcasing the life and joie de vivre of an off-duty Maharaja in a stylish manner. “Coalescence” by Anugrah Chandra is a dazzling amalgamation of techniques, hues, and relaxed silhouettes. Lastly, Rudraksh Dwivedi is presenting midnight glamour for a feminine, ultra-glam look, that ticks all the right boxes for stylish evening wear.
