Fit India Week celebration concludes

ALIGARH : The four-day sports festival under the Fit India Week celebrations at the Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged, Aligarh Muslim University concluded with the Chief Guest, Ms. Mehwash Khan, Games Supervisor of Abdullah Hall, giving away prizes, medals and certificates top the winners and participants.

Addressing the students, she highlighted the importance of fitness and nutrition and urged them to be involved in some kind of sports and physical work-out activities to keep fit and healthy.

The Principal of the school, Dr Naila Rashid appreciated the students for their enthusiasm and participation in various sports and games, including Yoga dance, PT drill, Tug of War, Rope Skipping, Shot put throwing, Frog Race, Crocodile Race, essay writing competition, School bag arranging competition and the Fast fruit-eating challenge.

The winners and runners-up were also distributed fruits and dry fruit packets.
