Supreme Court: In a plea filed by Delhi Government for release of surplus water to the national capital from Himachal Pradesh, the Vacation Division Bench of Prashant Kumar Mishra and Prasanna B Varale, JJ. while noting that the defects in the Delhi Government’s petition copy have not been removed, has deferred the hearing.

The Court directed to list the matter on 12-06-2024, so all the reports etc. are on record. The Bench also preferred to read the file, as there is so much reporting in the media which can be influential.

The Court also noted that the status report and other affidavits are not on record in the case as defects in the petition have not been removed.
