Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena is focusing on developing the Narela sub-city into an education hub. He has taken charge of improving connectivity and infrastructure in the area. The plan includes providing land parcels to universities and academic institutions for setting up campuses. The Narela sub-city is spread over 9,866 hectares, with the project area being 3,828 hectares. Saxena also highlighted the need for commercial centers like corporate parks and shopping malls in the area. Other projects include a multi-modal logistics park, club and sports complex, and a district jail.
