The Delhi High Court has supported reducing the mandatory 70% attendance requirement for law courses and requested the Bar Council of India (BCI) to review the issue. The court emphasized the importance of internships and practical learning in the law field and questioned the justification for the high attendance threshold. The case, linked to the tragic suicide of law student Sushant Rohilla, will be revisited in February 2025.
