Delhi LG approves revival of 29 vacant posts of Principal/Deputy Education Officer in Delhi-government-run schools. Six posts are abolished after being vacant for more than five years. Finance and Administrative Reforms Departments recommend the revival and abolition after necessary assessment. In 2019, two posts were vacant, and in 2020, four more posts became vacant. Education Department obtains approval for revival and creation of posts in April 2023. Temporary management by vice-principals has limitations.
