Here’s a story of a senior IPS officer N Sanjay who left his job at a steel plant to become an IPS officer and has now been suspended. Who is IPS N Sanjay?​


Hailing from Visakhapatnam, Sanjay decided to prepare for the UPSC civil services exam under his father’s guidance. Earlier in his life, Sanjay served as the commanding officer at the AP Police Housing Corporation Limited. Additionally, he has held important positions during his career in various areas of undivided Andhra Pradesh like Warangal, Nalgonda, Kurnool, Anantapur, Nizamabad and Hyderabad.

Family background of N Sanjay​


Born into a Christian family from Vizag, Visakhapatnam’s resident, N. Sanjay harbored a deep passion for both sports and singing while serving as an IPS officer. Not many know that his journey to this prestigious position wasn’t straightforward. Previously, he worked for nearly eight years as a mechanical supervisor at Vizag Steel Plant, demonstrating his commitment and ambition.

Alongside, he found the time and inspiration to earn a law degree from the reputable Andhra University in Waltair, largely influenced by his father to join civil services. His story is a testament that a strong will can lead to a big leap in one’s career, from a steel plant to law enforcement.
