Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the first all-girls sainik school, Samvid Gurukulam Girls Sainik School, in Vrindavan. The school has a strength of about 870 students and is part of the initiative to establish 100 new sainik schools in partnership with NGOs/private/state government schools in all states/Union territories. Singh praised the school as a beacon of light for girls who aspire to join the Armed Forces and highlighted the government's commitment to women empowerment in the military. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present at the inauguration.
