Tamil Nadu Police Higher Training Center selected as the best training center in the country


  • The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has selected the Higher Training Center of Tamil Nadu Police Department as the best training center in the country and awarded it with a trophy. Every year, the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Union Government selects the training center for SIs with the best training structure in the country.
  • Subsequently, it has selected the Higher Training Center of Tamil Nadu Police Department as the best training center for SIs in the country for the year 2022.

Integrated portal of Central Narcotics Control Unit launched

  • The Central Narcotics Control Unit’s integrated portal was launched in the presence of Revenue Secretary Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Narcotics Commissioner Shri Dinesh Kumar Bouth and the Comptroller-in-Chief. NC Director Shri Vinod Kumar and representatives of Pharma Industries are its shareholders.
  • The portal facilitates single point services like Bharat Ghosh, GST, Pan-NSTL verification, database integration and integration with other government services including e-Sanjit and UIDAI and obtaining licenses from CBN.

CM Stalin inaugurated 2,828 flats built at a cost of Rs 284.32 crore in Tamil Nadu.


  • Chief Minister M.K.Stalin inaugurated 2,828 flats built at a cost of Rs.284.32 crore in various districts of Tamil Nadu through video.
  • He also inaugurated buildings worth Rs.171.36 crore on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board and office buildings constructed at a cost of Rs.10.88 crore on behalf of the Urban Development Directorate in Salem, Erode and Coimbatore districts and buildings renovated at a cost of Rs.1.35 crore on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Housing Corporation.

Pattu Devanand sworn in as Madras High Court judge


  • Justice Pattu Devanand was sworn in as a judge of the Madras High Court. Presiding Chief Justice T. Raja administered the oath to him.Justice Pattu Devanand has adjudicated more than 8 thousand cases in his short tenure as a judge of the Andhra High Court.
  • Later, while giving his acceptance speech, he said that the discussions held by Ambedkar and Periyar played a major role in framing the Constitution and Madras High Court jurists played a major role in framing various laws in the country.

Indian Ambassador to US receives “Sikh Hero Award”.


  • India’s top ambassador to the US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, along with many other eminent Sikh Americans, received the “Sikh Hero Award” from Sikhs of America. Taranjit Singh Sandhu was targeted by Khalistan supporters at the Indian embassy in the US.
  • India’s top diplomat to the US received the award days after violence erupted by a small group of pro-Khalistan supporters at Indian embassies in the US.

Discovery of historical stone stone(vattakal), muthumakal thazhli at Tirupattur


  • More than 25 vattakal (வட்டக்கல்) and more than a hundred damaged small and large shaped muthumakal thazhli (முதுமக்கள் தாழி ) were found in Olaikudipatti Kanmai area near Tirupathur.
  • Excavation at the surface revealed a large number of ancient artifacts and various types of pottery used by the ancestors. Also, bowls, plates, broken drinking cups, small earthen vessels etc. are believed to have been used in the 3rd century BC.

Gukesh of India won the World Chess Armageddon Championship.


  • Indian Grandmaster D. Gukesh defeated former World Rapid Chess Champion Nodirbek Abduzatoro of Uzbekistan to win the title of World Chess Armageddon Asia and Oceania Division held in Berlin, Germany.
  • In the first game of the series final, Gukesh defeated Nodirbek Abdusatorov 1.5-0.5. Following this, Notirbek Abdusatoro has qualified from the Asia Oceania division along with Gugesh for the Armageddon World Finals to be held in September.

Ons Jabeur wins Charleston Open women’s tennis title

  • The Charleston Open women’s tennis tournament was held in the United States. In the women’s singles final of the tournament, Ons Jabeur of Dulysia defeated defending champion Belinda Bencic of Switzerland 7–6 (8/6), 6–4.
  • Ons Jabeur is now on his way to his 3rd WTA title. Also, she has moved up one place in the world ranking is ranked 4th.
