National Testing Agency, NTA will begin the CUET PG registration 2023 process on May 19, 2023. Candidates who want to apply for Common University Entrance Test can apply online through the official site of CUET NTA on cuet.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply for the examination is till July 18, 2023.

The CUET PG examination will be conducted in last week of July 2023 in computer based mode. The Agency will conduct the Postgraduate Entrance Test for 42 Central and participating Universities for the academic session 2023-2024.

CUET will provide a single window opportunity to students to seek admission in participating Universities across the country. Candidates are advised to keep a check here and on the official website for updates on CUET PG 2023 exam.

All candidates interested in applying for CUET PG Exam may please note that the postgraduate entrance exam will be held for admissions to 42 Central and participating Universities. The admissions will be done for the 2023-23 academic year and all those enrolled for this exam will be issued CUET PG admit cards later.

The application process for the Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2023 or CUET Registration process is all set to begin on April 2 and will go on till April 30 cuet.nta.nic.in, according to official notification.

Candidates seeking admission in undergraduate courses of central universities will have to compulsorily appear for the entrance test in the subject of their choice.

Students will be allotted seats as per their performance in the entrance exam and preference of university and course. CUCET was introduced by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to replace all existing admission patterns in the undergraduate courses offered by various central universities. Candidates may apply for the entrance exam online at CUCET’s official portal once the process goes live.

CUCET will provide a single-window platform for admissions, making the process more efficient and student-friendly by eliminating entrance tests for a variety of colleges. Candidates will also save time, effort, and money by not having to pay several entrance exam fees.

NTA has begun registration of central universities along with state, private, deemed, and others for Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Interested institutes can register at the official website at nta.ac.in. Through the registration, candidates can apply for CUCET exam for undergraduate admissions 2023-24. The registration process has been opened, April 2.

  • Now the CUET will not be only conducted for admission into the central and state universities but also will be a gateway for admission to private and deemed universities.
  • These universities use the score of the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate admissions for the 2023-2023 academic session.
  • Adopting the CUET process for the upcoming session to prevent the hassle of students appearing in multiple examinations.
  • NTA will also consider conducting the CUET exam twice a year from the next session, the University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman.
  • The central universities will have to use CUET scores to admit students to undergraduate programmes and not the Class 12 marks.
  • It will do away with the stress of appearing in multiple entrance tests for students, it also flagged certain various concerns, including the fact that it might encourage coaching culture.

Most universities including CUET, many claims that this will lead to a coaching culture. Several private schools and parents have opposed the move. Recently, an association of private schools has written a letter to Union Education Minister, expressing apprehension that the introduction of CUET. They claimed that CUET will encourage “coaching culture” among students.

Meanwhile, the National Progressive Schools Conference (NPSC), an association of Senior Secondary School Principals pan India and abroad, welcomed the move.

To register for CUCET 2023, candidates will have to attach soft copies of the following documents with their application form.
Class 10 Marksheet

  • Passport size photograph
  • Candidate’s signature
  • Photo ID proof (Aadhaar card)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

The candidate must ensure the signature is done on white paper in blue or black colour ink. The passport photograph should be taken against a light-coloured background ideally white. Photos with a cap, hat, or dark glasses will not be accepted.

How to Apply for CUET PG?​


Candidates can apply for CUET PG (Common University Entrance Test PG) on online by following these simple steps. Candidates can pay the application fee online using debit/credit cards, net banking, or other available options. Candidates who want to apply for the examination can check these simple steps given below.

  1. Visit the Website
    Candidates need to visit the official website of CUET PG, in your device web browser.

  2. Click on Register Link
    Once you reach the official website, click on ‘register’ on the homepage. Then, read the information bulletin carefully.

  3. Fill the registration form
    Step 3: Fill in all required personal details in the application form. Then, choose a password and key in the security pin.

  4. Fill the application form
    Once again login the web page with your registration credentials and fill the necessary details and review the personal details you have entered and complete the OTP verification process.

  5. Click on Continue application Form Option
    The applicant will receive an application form number after the successful verification of the OTP on her registered mobile number and email address. After receiving the form number, log in using these details and then click on the “continue application form” option.

  6. Fill the college details
    Continuing filling the form by entering other details such as education, university/college, test paper/subjects, and examination centre. Review the completed form. Under the section titled ‘Particulars Checklist to be Verified’, click on all the checkboxes near each field item to confirm your acknowledgment of all the details furnished.

  7. Pay the application fee
    Pay the application fees and print the confirmation page for future reference.

  8. Download Application Form
    After completion of registration process and payment, users can download the application form and preserve it for future reference.

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which is responsible for conducting the exams, will consider conducting the CUET twice a year from the next session, he said. In an interview with PTI, Kumar said CUET will not just be limited to admissions in Central Universities as several prominent private universities have indicated that they would like to come on board for using the scores from the common entrance exam for undergraduate admissions.
