The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) is facing severe criticism from the Congress party as 32 questions from the previous year were allegedly repeated in the second paper of the Haryana Civil Services (HCS) preliminary examination.

Congress General Secretary Randeep Surjewala demanded the immediate cancellation of the exam, accusing the commission of incompetence and even leaking its own paper. Randeep Surjewala, a Rajya Sabha MP, expressed his concerns over the repetition of questions from the previous year, questioning the commission’s credibility. He claimed that the HPSC had not only exhibited its incompetence but had also committed the heinous act of leaking its own paper. The HCS prelims, held on May 21, witnessed the staggering participation of over 93,000 candidates. Surjewala, while targeting the BJP-led government in Haryana under Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, demanded the immediate cancellation of the HCS paper. He called upon Khattar to apologize to the 93,000 aspirants who trusted in the government’s promises of transparency. The Congress leader insisted that the examination be canceled promptly and a new paper be conducted. Additionally, he advocated for the disbanding of the commission itself.
