College of Nursing students raise awareness on World Health Day

Aligarh : The students of the College of Nursing, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised a health education programme in the ward of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital (JNMCH), marking the World Health Day, to raise awareness about global health issues and highlight the importance of well being.

This year’s theme was ‘my health, my right’, which emphasises the right of everyone, everywhere to access quality healthcare services, education and information, as well as save drinking water, clean air, good nutrition, good housing, decent working and environmental conditions and freedom from discrimination.

The students of B.Sc. Nursing IInd semester, under the guidance of Prof Farha Azmi, Principal, College of Nursing organized the health education in Ward 10, JNMCH, with the help of posters and charts to create awareness about the importance of health, education, good nutrition, clean air and keeping oneself healthy.
