NTA CMAT Exam Date 2024, Check exam schedule at cmat.nta.nic.in. NTA CMAT, GPAT Exam Schedule 2024: CMAT and GPAT examination too would be conducted by NTA.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) are national level entrance examinations would be conducted by NTA.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the online registration process for Common Management Admission Test 2024 (CMAT2024) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test 2024 (GPAT 2024) on its official from December 23, 2024.

The interested candidates can apply online through official websites – cmat.nta.nic.in for CMAT 2024 and gpat.nta.nic.in for GPAT 2024.

NTA is conducting these National Level Tests for admission to Post Graduate Management Programs and Pharmacy Programs for the Academic Year in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

NTA has scheduled to conduct CMAT in April.

Eligibility for CMAT 2024​


The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2024-25 can also apply for CMAT-2024 computer-based test (CBT).

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • There is no age restriction for appearing in CMAT-2024.
  • Those interested in applying should be graduates in any discipline
  • Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic yearcan also apply for CMAT online exam.

Eligibility for GPAT 2024​


The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognized university.

Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree B. Pharmacy (10+2+4) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for the academic year 2024-21 can also apply for GPAT 2024 computer-based test (CBT).

B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/ equivalent candidates are not eligible to apply. The candidate must be a citizen of India. There is no age restriction for appearing in GPAT 2024.

Candidates should be holding a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates).

Those who are in the final year of B Pharmacy course are also eligible for apply B Tech (pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology)/equivalent students are not eligible to apply

About GPAT: The duration of the exam was three hours and a total of 125 questions of four marks each were asked in the GPAT. There was negative marking as well.

A total of 841 institutions took part in GPAT, offering about 24,096 seats for candidates. Scholarships and other financial assistance in the field of pharmacy are also provided on the basis of GPAT score.

Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination conducted by (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of HRD and this test facilitates Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission in all Management programs.

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is another national level entrance exam conducted by AICTE and this test facilitates institutions to select suitable Pharmacy graduates for admission into the Master’s (M.Pharm) program.

The NTA would conduct the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT). All these exams would be computer-based and that students can practice at home or at authorised computer centres free of cost.

The details of such centres would be announced soon. The syllabus, question format, language and fees won’t change. Each exam will be conducted on four to five dates.

The exams will be more secure and at par with international norms. There will be no issues of leakage and it would be more student-friendly, open, scientific and a leak-proof system.

These examinations will use highly secured IT software and encryption to ensure delivery of tests just in time. This will ensure no leakages and other malpractices.

NTA will establish a network of test practice centres for students of rural areas so that everyone will have an opportunity to practice before the exam. Schools/engineering colleges with computer centres would be identified and kept open on Saturday/Sunday starting from 3rd week of August. Any student can use the facility free of charge.

Standard of the exams: Under NTA, these exams will be more secure and at par with international norms, claimed the minister. There will be no issues of leakage and it would be more student friendly, open, scientific and a leak-proof system.

NTA is expected to bring in a qualitative difference in the examination process by its focus on research and scientific test design using services of Experts, Researchers, Statisticians, Psychometricians, Test Item Writers and Education Specialists.

The item writers would be trained to ensure that the quality of questions is as per the test design. The experts, statisticians and item writers/subject matter experts are already identified for being inducted into NTA. The new system will be student friendly, fair, transparent and flexible.

Preparation: The NTA would benefit the students and they would have the option of going to computer centres from August-end to practice for the exams. The tests would be computer-based. The exams would be held over a span of four-five days and students would have the option of choosing the dates, the minister said.

Syllabus: The syllabus, question formats, language and fees for the NEET, JEE Main and NET exams would not be changed. The time table of the exams to be conducted by NTA would be uploaded on the ministry’s website.
