Civil Servants from Bangladesh Visit AMU

Aligarh : A delegation of the civil servants of Bangladesh along with the local district administrative officers visited the Aligarh Muslim University and inspected the site of 3 MW Ground Mounted Solar Power Plant and Maulana Azad Library of the University.

The visiting delegates were briefed about the technical details of AMU’s Solar Power Plants. Prof. Salman Hameed, Member Incharge, Electricity, informed the delegates that AMU has undertaken initiatives in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of India by installing 3.3 MWP Ground Mounted Solar Power Plant and 3.2 MWP Rooftop Solar Power Plants with a total capacity of 6.5 MWP.

Prof. Nishat Fatima, University Librarian briefed the delegates about the rare manuscripts, books and resources available in the library. She said that about 14 lakh books and manuscripts are available in the library.

Er. Mohd, Shamim Ansari, Electricity Engineer, AMU was also present on the occasion.
