The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the cancellation of compartment tests for the Class 12 board exams starting from 2024. Instead, they will introduce a re-evaluation process for answer scripts, along with the existing rechecking method. This decision aligns with the progressive approach of the NEP 2020. Furthermore, the CISCE will completely discontinue the Compartment Examination scheme from 2024, while allowing candidates to take improvement exams for a maximum of two subjects.
