Patna: A three-day capacity-building programme on Strategic Planning and Process was inaugurated this morning at the Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) campus. Organized by the Planning and Development Department, Government of Bihar, in association with CIMP, this residential programme aims to equip officials with advanced tools and techniques for effective strategic planning and execution. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts under the State Support Mission of NITI Aayog to enhance the capacity of government officials, e effective decision-making processes for developed Bihar.
The programme brings together 30 officials from the Planning and Development Department, including District Planning Officers, Regional Planning Officers, Assistant Directors, Senior Research Officer, and Assistant Planning Officers. Their active participation underscores the importance of capacity-building initiatives in enhancing governance and development outcomes across Bihar.
The inaugural session was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Prof. (Dr.) Rana Singh, Director, CIMP; Shri Kumod Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer, CIMP; Prof. Ankit Sharma, Associate Professor, CIMP; and Prof. Rishabh Rajan, Assistant Professor, CIMP. The inaugural session began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the light of knowledge and wisdom that will guide the programme.
Welcoming the participants, Prof. Rana Singh expressed his pleasure in hosting the officials at the vibrant CIMP campus. He highlighted the critical role of strategic planning in achieving Bihar’s long-term development goals and reaffirmed CIMP’s commitment as the Lead Knowledge Institute (LKI) under the State Support Mission of NITI Aayog.
The programme curriculum has been meticulously crafted to cover essential aspects of strategic planning, including SWOT analysis, vision setting, implementation strategies, and performance reviews. With a strong focus on interaction, collaboration, and practical learning, the MDP ensures that participants gain actionable insights to enhance their professional roles. The event will conclude on 28th December 2024 with a feedback session and the distribution of certificates to participants.
