Brock University Collaborates with RoboGarden to Introduce Online Full Stack Developer Certificate Program

A new Brock University certificate program is helping professionals to add in-demand tech skills to their resumés.

Brock’s Professional and Continuing Studies (PCS) has partnered with , a leader in Canadian online learning, to deliver an online, self-paced Full Stack Web and Mobile App Development Professional Certificate program.

The digital upskilling certificate program will teach participants key aspects of front- and back-end web development, databases and data structures and algorithms.

for the program’s first cohort this spring, with full-time classes beginning Monday, April 29.

The certificate is designed to be flexible and affordable for recent graduates looking to quickly add high-demand digital skills to their resumé as they enter the workforce and for busy working professionals interested in flexible opportunities to upskill and pursue a new career.

“The market for full stack developers in Ontario is competitive, with an ecosystem of technology innovation in the workforce,” said Nathan Cheney, Director, Brock PCS. “Employment data suggests a strong and growing need for full stack developers in Ontario , making it a promising field for digital career upskillers and reskillers.”

Brock Professional and Continuing Studies is “committed to fulfilling the professional and personal development needs of the learning community,” Cheney said.

“Our partnership with RoboGarden enables Brock alumni and those changing careers in the Niagara region and beyond to acquire new digital skill sets that lead to greater opportunities and financial growth,” he said. “Through this collaboration, participants gain real-life experience that prepares them for digital careers that will deliver professional growth well into the future.”

Through RoboGarden’s game-based platform, powered by artificial intelligence tools, learners will engage with the subject matter in modules delivered in a student-centric approach. Each module includes resources, exercises and optional career-related coursework. The full-time schedule is offered over 11 Intensive weeks while the part-time program provides an extended timeframe of 22 weeks to support the needs of working adults. Both formats consist of a total 450-hour commitment.

Mohamed Elhabiby, co-founder and President of RoboGarden, said digital skills bootcamps, particularly those focused on upskilling and reskilling training, are valuable in engaging learners beyond technical content and teaching.

Fundamental skills, such as critical thinking and scripting, are crucial for those looking to achieve their digital skills training and learning goals, he said, while highlighting the need for high levels of engagement and completion rates to achieve meaningful outcomes.
