The Bihar government will launch 'Mission Daksh' in December to mentor academically weak students who are lagging behind in schools. The programme aims to improve the academic performance of nearly 25 lakh children who are unable to read simple Hindi words despite being in upper primary classes. Teachers will conduct extra classes with small groups of students to provide individualized attention. The government has warned of strict action against headmasters, principals, and teachers if the students fail their final examinations in 2024. 'Mission Daksh' is part of the government's efforts to enhance the quality of education in Bihar.
