Banaras Hindu University (BHU), through its Pratidana initiative, has launched three new scholarships funded by donations. These scholarships will be available to students in the Faculty of Education, Central Hindu Boys School, and Central Hindu Girls School.

Rahul Srivastava, a corporate leader from Mumbai, made the donation in memory of his maternal grandmother, paternal grandfather, and paternal aunt. Srivastava’s father retired as the Additional Director General from the Central Public Works Department after decades of service and later served as the Advisor (Works) at IIT-Gandhinagar, playing a key role in developing its iconic campus.

The Pratidana initiative at Banaras Hindu University seeks to engage alumni and well-wishers in establishing scholarships for outstanding students, need-based financial aid, enhance learning opportunities, and promote excellence in teaching.

In the meantime, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has developed 15 new courses for SWAYAM for the 2024 session. These programs have been designed to meet the needs and expectations of learners.

Beginning on July 22, these courses will provide learners with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in a wide array of subjects, including management, commerce, science, medicine, social sciences, humanities, and philosophy.
