BEd History Distance Education Admission?: The University Grants Commission ( ) in India has declared the distance learning programs in BEd History as illegal. It is a two-year Bachelor’s Degree Course offered by the Department of Education in regular learning mode. The UGC/AICTE has approved this program. There is a merit-based or entrance exam that is used to determine admission to the university. To get admission to the BEd history program, a candidate is required to apply for the BEd entrance exam, such as IGNOU BEd, UP BEd, MAH BEd CET, etc.

It is specially designed to understand the teaching-learning process of history, culture, past historical events, arts, etc. A student-teacher gets all the teaching skills to teach upper primary/secondary/senior secondary students with practical and theoretical classes.

As a result of completing the B.Ed in history programs, students are able to find jobs in the public and private sectors, such as historians, education researchers, etc. Moreover, you will be offered a salary of up to 3.5 lakhs per annum.

BEd History Distance Education Eligibility Criteria?


These are the basic requirements for admission to the B.Ed. History program:

  • A graduation grade point average of at least 50%.
  • Candidates may also apply on a provisional basis in their last year of post-graduation and may sit for the qualifying exams in that year.
  • There is no maximum age to enroll in the history education degree program.
  • Candidates may have an advantage over others if they have professional work experience in the relevant subject (teaching, history).

Step 1. To apply for admission to a college or university, go to the official website.

Step 2. Candidates need to fill out the application through the online application form.

Step 3. In the application form, applicants need to fill in all the correct details.

Step 4. Incomplete/incorrect applications or forms with errors will be rejected.

Step 5. Payment can be made through credit/debit cards for the application fee and entrance exam fee.

Step 6. If a candidate wants to make payment of the fees by cash, they can do so through bank e-challan.

Step 7. The candidate will receive an email and SMS confirming the registration only once the fees are paid successfully.

Step 8. Take out the fee receipt for future updates.
