The 6-Year Integrated Engineering course is divided in to the following two stages:
IIIT Basara Admissions (RGUKT Basara Admission) in Telangana State will be based on merit in the 10th class Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject, and by following the statutory reservations of the State.
A deprivation score of 0.4 shall be added to the 10th class GPA of applicants from non-residential Government Schools including the ZP, Municipal, KV, Telangana Model Schools and KGBV Schools for selection, with an objective of providing weightage to help the students from socially, economically deprived sections of the society for admissions.
If there is a tie between 10.20 grade (considering a combined score of 0.40 for those studying in public schools), then the grade in mathematics will be considered in the tenth grade. Next, you are admitted to Science, English, Social Sciences, Telugu, Birth Date and Low Random Number.
In case of a tie in 10th class Grade Point Average GPA score (TIE Between 10.20 Grade Students), it will be resolved by adopting the following options in that sequence:
If the tie is resolved with any of the check-in the chronological order mentioned above, the next option(s) will not be checked.
If the grade is equal in the 10th class, then the date of birth is taken into account. If they are older, they can beat them. If the age is equal, the random number is entered by a special formula from the ten-hall ticket number.
The procedure of resolving by random number is as follows: For SSC, NIOS & OSSC applicants. The random number will be obtained as the reminder of {253 x [first 5 digits of the hall ticket number] divided by the last 5 digits of the hall ticket number}
For example, from the hall ticket no.1219121028, the first five digits viz., 12191 and the last five digits viz., 21028 will be considered for this purpose. The reminder is 14235. For CBSE & ICSE applicants. The Hall ticket consists seven digits. Hence, the random number will be obtained as the reminder of {253 x [first 3 digits of the hall ticket number] divided by the last 4 digits of the hall ticket number}.
For example, from the hall ticket no.4112605, the first three digits viz., 411 and the last four digits viz., 2605 will be considered for this purpose. The reminder is 2388.
Basara IIIT Campus in Telangana admissions will be according to 371 85% of seats are reserved for Telangana students only and rest of 15% are for open category both AP and Telangana states students can have the choice for admissions according to the merit list.
Supernumerary seats to the extent of 5% are available to students belonging to States other than Andhra Pradesh & Telangana State including the children of Indians working in Gulf Countries / International and NRI students.
Admission will be on the basis of merit in the marks/grades obtained in 10th standard examination. Those candidates who got a minimum of 70% of marks alone are eligible for admissions.

15% Seats: And the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved (these seats will be filled with both States Telangana and Andhra Pradesh students based on merit) as specified in the Presidential Order 371 Article D in consonance to Section 95 of the A.P. Reorganization Act, 2014.
a) The candidates selected for counselling shall report in person at RGUKT – Basar, Nirmal District in Telangana State for verification of original certificates/documents and the details provided in the application form.
b) Counselling and selection for admission in respect of candidates belonging to the Special Categories like Physically Handicapped (PH), Children of Armed Personnel (CAP), NCC and Sports will be conducted at RGUKT- Basar.
Admission to the first year of 6-Year Integrated Engineering course in the University will be granted only after satisfactory verification and scrutiny of the details mentioned in the application and the original certificates/ documents submitted by the candidate at the counselling center. Mere selection for counselling and verification of certificates/documents will not guarantee admission to the candidate.
a) The tuition fee for the candidates who studied in Schools situated in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh States is Rs.37,000/- per annum (It includes Rs.500/- examination fee per semester).
b) Students who are eligible for tuition fee reimbursement as per the guidelines issued by the respective State Governments need not pay the tuition fee (Students whose parental annual income is below Rs.1.0 lakh for non-SC/ST category and below Rs.2.0 lakh for SC/ST category and who fulfill the other conditions as per the latest Govt. rules are eligible for fee reimbursement).
