Childhood is the most beautiful stage of human life, where one is curious, inquisitive, agile and excited to learn. It is a stage where a child is most questioning and thoughtful about the abstract concepts that comes across in a day-to-day learning activities and at the same time the child is even more distracted due to his waving thoughts. At the same time, child is innocent to understand the core concepts of education and is ever joyous and playful in nature. Robbing the innocence and not catering to the basic instinct of learning seems an injustice to these young minds.
Introducing abstract concepts factually could distract them from experiencing the depth and restrict them from questioning. Thus, a playful methodology of teaching emerges as a suitable method for teaching young learners. As we cater to the educational needs of little learners, we need to understand, that they are sensitive, adamant at certain points, and have behavioural fluctuations, when it comes to learning. To keep them engaged and forever motivated we need to find ways which are exciting, recreational and an all-new experience for them at all times.
With the advancing education needs of the 21st century, which aim at developing critical and creative thinking skills of young learners, we see the teachers as well advancing at finding new creative methodologies which are ever encouraging and motivating for young learners. Play way methodologies could be one such method which is a beautiful technique to teach complex concepts in a fun-filled manner. Excited young learners are always enthusiastic to learn new concepts.
