Registration 2024, How to Submit AP SET Online Application at apset.net.in. Andhra University has released an exam notification and the registration has been started.

The exam will be held in 31 subjects. Candidates are advised to submit their applications at the official website of the APSET.

The APSET exam is conducted for recruitment and promotions of Lecturers or Assistant Professors in Degree Colleges as per the University Grant Commission Regulations (UGC) for the year 2024.

Candidates who want to appear for the examination can apply through the official site till the last date. The University has released the examination date as well. The examination will be conducted as per the announced date in the state at various centers.

There are 30 subjects included in the list of the examination. Read below to check for more information on important dates, eligibility criteria and more.

APSET Online Application Form Details

Educational Qualification: Candidates who have secured at least 55 percent in Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC are eligible for this Test.

Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this test.

However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of eligibility for Assistant Professor only after they have passed their Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination with at least 55% marks. Check Official Notification for details.

APSET 2024 Exam Pattern​


The exam will be bilingual and there will be no negative marking The exam will comprise of two papers: Paper 1 will consist of 50 objective type questions to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate; Paper 2 will carry 100 subject-specific objective questions.

APSET comprises of two papers- Paper I will have 50 questions of 100 marks. The time duration is 1 hour from 9.30 am to 10.30 am.

Paper-II will have 100 questions of 200 marks and time duration is for 2 hours from 11 am to 1 pm. Candidates will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper I and Paper II on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Sheet provided along with the test booklet.

The syllabus prescribed by UGC-CSIR and UGC NET for paper-I and Paper-II without negative marks will be adopted for APSET. Paper-II & III are combined together to become Paper-II.

For certificate verification, the following original certificates are to be produced in person.

  • S.S.C/ Equivalent certificate in proof of Date of Birth
  • P.G.Pass certificate (Provisional /Original Degree(OD) Certificate)
  • Note: Candidates who are studying PG final year are to be produced a Study Certificate from the Head of the Institution
  • PG Marks Statements of all Semesters
  • Latest Caste Certificate
  • Physically Handicapped Certificate (for PWD Candidates).

APSET Application Fee​


Eligible candidates who want to apply for the examination will have to apply via online mode. The registration fees are Rs 1200/- for general category, Rs 1000/- for Backward class category and Rs 700/- for SC/ST/PWD category.

The application fees must be paid either through credit card, debit card or via net banking. Candidates can check for more details from the official site of Andhra University.

How to Apply online for APSET?​


Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (AP SET) for selection and promotion of lecturers, assistant professors in universities and degree colleges. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam can fill and submit the application form.

APSET Applications should be submitted through online mode only. The Registration fee for online submission and late fee, if applicable may be paid through payment gateway(Credit card/ Debit card/ Net Banking).

Applications have to be submitted Online:​


Step 1: Candidate seeking admission to the (APSET) must apply online only on the APSET website: ( )

Step 2: Before applying Online, the candidates must possess the scanned images as below: Passport size photograph in JPG format of minimum 20 kb to 40 kb.

The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Signature in JPG format of minimum 5kb to 20 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height). Caste Certificate in JPG format of minimum 50 kb to 300kb

Step 3: After filling all the details for applying online for SET the candidates have to pay the examination fee either by credit/debit card.

Step 4: The candidates are required to bring a photo identity card along with their printout of online admission card on the day of examination.

Step 5: Before applying Online, candidates are advised to go through detailed notification available on the APSET website: Please note that Fee submitted through any other mode like Money Order, Demand Draft, IPO, etc. will be summarily rejected.

Step 6: In order to avoid the last-minute rush, the candidates are advised to apply early enough. APSET will not be responsible for network problems or any other problem of this nature in submission of online application during the last days.
