RIMC Admission Eligibility Criteria​


To be eligible for RIMC admission, you must be studying in 7th standard or have passed 8th standard as of January 2024 from a recognized school.

The age limit for the admission should not be less than eleven and half years and not more than thirteen years as of 01.01.2024. Your date of birth should fall between 02.01.2011 to 01.07.2012.

RIMC Admission Selection Process​


The selection process for RIMC admission is based on a rigorous written test, viva voce, and medical examination. The written exam will consist of three papers, namely Mathematics (200 marks), General Knowledge (75 marks), and English (125 marks).

The viva voce (50 marks) will be conducted for the candidates who qualify the written test. The combined written test and viva voce will be allotted a total of 450 marks, and the minimum pass mark should be 50%. The medical examination will be conducted for the candidates who qualify in both the written test and viva voce.

APPSC RIMC Entrance Exam Offline Apply​


RIMC Dehradun will send the Prospectus-cum-Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers by seed post to students who have paid application fee through online mode at the official website, rimc.gov.in. Candidates can obtain the Prospectus from the APPSC Office. To submit application form follow the given steps.

  3. Pay the Prospectus Fee​


    After clicking on that link, SB Collect fee payment form will be opened. Fill the payment form with all required information and pay the prospectus fee through this payment method or candidates can obtain the Prospectus from the APPSC by the payment of fee.

  4. Fill the application form​


    Candidates should fill the application form with necessary details. Collect the required documents.

  5. Send the application form​


    Filled in application forms in duplicate along with necessary certificates for Boys and Girls should be sent to the APPSC Office on or before the deadline. Kindly note the filled-in application forms should be sent to the APPSC only and not to the RIMC, Dehradun.

1. Two Copies of Original Application obtained from RIMC or from O/o. APPSC., Hyderabad.
2. There are (3) Passport size photos signed by the Candidates (Two (2) Photographs to be paste on the application and one extra.)
3. Two Copies of Birth Certificate from school or Municipal records showing the name of the candidates.
4. Two Copies of a study certificate from the school.
5. Candidates belonging to SC & ST should enclose a Community Certificate issued by TAHSILDHAR.
6. State of Domicile certificate to be enclosed Two (2) Copies.
7. One self-addressed cover affixing postal stamps for Rs.5/- The filled in application form along with requisite certificates should be sent to the ASST. SECRETARY (EXAMS), AP PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.

Necessary Documents: Applications in duplicate, alongwith the documents which are to be attached with application form to include two passport size photographs,

Domicile Certificate of the candidate, Birth Certificate (issued by Municipal Corporation/Gram Panchayat), SC/ ST Certificate and Certificate from the Principal of the School in original with photograph on it attested stating date of birth and in which Class the student is studying. Application forms should reach the respective State Govts (As given in guidelines to Admission).

Only the candidates finally selected after the viva voce will undergo a Medical examination at selected Military Hospitals and only the candidates found medically fit will be considered for selection and admission to the RIMC.

Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Inter Service Category ‘A’. The Director General of Military Training is responsible for the management of Army Headquarters. The college was inaugurated on March 13, 1922. Initially it was called the Prince of Wales Royal Indian Military College.

It was located on the premises of the then Imperial Cadet Corps (also known as the Rajwada Camp). Adjacent to the village of Garhi in the Dehradun Cantonment, amidst 138 acres of lush green countryside

It has a long history. Many of those educated here are not just military officers but also politicians, ambassadors and governors. The organization has provided four distinguished personnel, including the Chief of Army Staff and the Naval Chief.

The purpose of this organization is to prepare students for officer-cadre-posts in the military. It runs like a public school. The main goal of the school is to train students to adapt to the rigors of military life and self-discipline.

It is described as the nursery of leadership for organizations such as NDA, OTA and IMA. The institute trains the lion’s share of NDA / NAVAC academies to have students studying here. Campus Highlights: Mini India caters to about 250 boys from all over the country every year. There are some Tudor style heritage buildings on campus. Some of these are more than a hundred years old. The dormitories have spacious classrooms with education block, smart classrooms and labs. In addition professional‌ faculties are teaching better education.

The teacher-pupil ratio is 1: 12.5. There are a variety of playgrounds, courts, 50 meter Olympic size swimming pool, 10 meter diving pool, indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. All facilities, accommodation and dining rooms for Co-curricular activities are maintained to the highest standards.

Affiliation: Responsible for the management of the Army Directorate General of Military Training under the Ministry of Defense. The school conducts examinations for class X and XII in May and November. This certificate is accredited by CBSE.
