One thousand (1000) BC students will be awarded NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Overseas Scholarship 2020. All the BC graduates are eligible to apply to pursue Post Graduates studies abroad. AP Ambedkar Scholarship, Foreign study scheme, Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme for BCs, Videshi Vidya Deevena Scheme 2019-20 for studying overseas for BC youth.

AP Overseas Study scholarship, AP Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scheme, Overseas Vidya Deevena Scheme. AP Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship – Andhra Pradesh State BC Welfare Development is introducing the “AP Videshi Vidyadharana” for the economically weak BC youth in Andhra Pradesh. Under this scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1,000,000 (Rupees Ten Lakh Only) shall be granted to the selected applicants through the prescribed process.

This assistance shall be for studying overseas in recognized universities for tuition and living expenses. “NTR Videshi Vidyadharana” Scholarship for BC Students for pursuing Higher studies in Post Graduate Courses in Foreign Universities from the year 2019-2020.

AP Foreign Education Scheme (AP Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship): For higher studies abroad Rs. 15 lakh aid – a boon for students. Previously, pursuing higher education abroad was a desperate dream for poor and middle-class students. Rs. Lakhs of people have been left behind to spend millions. At present, the state government is implementing the AP Foreign Education Scheme to fulfil the dreams of such students. Under this scheme, Rs.15 lakhs will be given. Previously only Rs 10 lakh was given.

Caste Certificate issued by the Service, Income, Birth, Aadhaar Card, E-Pass ID Card, Residence Certificate, Passport Copy, List of Class X or Inter or Degree, or PG marks, along with Admission Certificate issued by the Institution Documents needs to be attached. The income of the parents who want to study abroad is Rs. 6 Lakhs not exceeding. Students of any social class can apply.

Opportunity Abroad: Study opportunities in the USA, Canada, UK, Singapore, Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Russia, Philippines, Kazakhstan and China.

Selection Method: The State Screening Committee will review applications received online. The committee consists of the Secretary of BC Welfare Federation, Secretary of State Higher Education, JNTU Visi, Commissioner of Technical Education and the Director of the BC Welfare Department as the convener. If all of these are correct, then the applications will be applied to the offices of the Social Workers Corporation in the respective districts. Then go to the Collector’s Office for consideration and make a maximum of two instalments through the Treasury. Rs.15 lakhs will be granted.

“AP BC Overseas Scholarships: Videshi Vidyadharana(Mahatma Jyothiba Phule B.C Vidya Nidhi)/ AP Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarship ” for Higher Studies in Overseas Universities: B.C Welfare Department has requested to rename the Scheme as “NTR Videshi Vidyadharana” instead of “Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC Vidya Nidhi” for providing Financial Assistance to eligible BC Graduate Students to pursue Post Graduate studies in Abroad.

AP BC Overseas Scholarships under NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Scheme:​


GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH: BCWD – NTR Videshi Vidyadarana Scheme – Financial Assistance to Backward Classes and Economically Backward Classes Students for pursuing Higher Studies in Abroad – Orders – Issued – Amendment – Orders – Issued. BACKWARD CLASSES WELFARE (B) DEPARTMENTG.O.MS.No. 28, Dated: 05-12-2018

Read the following:
1. G.O.Ms.No.29, BC Welfare (B) Department, Dated: 27.8.2016.
2. G.O.Rt.No.174, BC Welfare (B) Department, Dated: 7.12.2017.
3. From the Director, Backward Classes Welfare, A.P., Vijayawada Lr. No.B1/1840/2018, Dated: 11.10.2018.

ORDER: In the G.O.1st read above, Government has issued orders introducing the Scheme “NTR VIDESHI VIDYADARANA” for Financial Assistance to B.C. Students to pursue Post Graduation studies in abroad. In which certain guidelines were also issued. As per said G.O. there is no provision for MBBS course in abroad and also no provision to sanction of Travelling and Visa charges to the B.C./EBC students.

2. In the reference 2nd read above, Government have accorded permission to the Director, Backward Classes Welfare, A.P., Vijayawada to utilize the budget allocated for the Scheme of providing financial assistance to Meritorious Economically Backward Class Students for Overseas studies duly following the guidelines issued in the reference 1st read above.

3. In the reference 3rd read above, the Director, Backward Classes Welfare, A.P., Vijayawada has informed that as per the instructions of Hon’ble Chief Minister conducted counselling on a common platform on par with all welfare departments and issued orders on the following, as there is no provision to the B.C. and E.B.C. Students in the aforesaid GOs:-
i. Sanctioned Travelling and Visa Charges to some of the students.
ii. selected some candidates for financial assistance who are pursuing MBBS course.
iii. Some of the students were permitted to the countries for study of Different courses though the countries which are not mentioned in the G.O.Ms.No.29, BCW Dept., Dated: 27.8.2016 i.e. Kyrgzystan, Ukraine, Italy and Georgia etc., And requested the Government to ratify his action mentioned above.

4. In addition to above, the Director, BC Welfare has also requested to issue amendment orders and include the “ Travel Grant & Visa Fees and also the Scheme study of MBBS course abroad” to the BC and EBC pursuing students under NTR Videshi Vidyadharana Scheme.

5. Government after careful examination of the entire matter hereby ratify the action of the Director, BC Welfare, A.P., in having issued orders mentioned at para (3) above.

6. Further, in partial modification of the orders issued in the G.O. 1st and 2nd read above, the following are added :
i. Travel Grant: One-way ticket (lower fare) by economy class for the shortest route shall be payable upon production of a valid visa and admission particulars.
ii. Visa Fees: The total visa fees shall be reimbursed to the student upon production of valid visa and production of fee receipts.
iii. MBBS course: The scheme includes the study of MBBS course abroad.
7. The Director, B.C. Welfare, A.P., Vijayawada shall take further action accordingly.

AP BC Overseas Scholarships:​


Government of AP have made substantial investments through providing Post-Matric Scholarships to BC students on a Saturation basis. This laudable initiative over the years has encouraged a large number of BC students to complete professional Courses and other Graduate Courses. The government in Social Welfare Department have issued orders introducing a New Scheme “Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi” to SC students to enable the benefit of Higher Education in Foreign Universalities to meritorious SC students thereby providing them with an opportunity for better career prospects within the Country and abroad.

AP BC Welfare has sanctioned of the scheme ” NTR Videshi Vidyadharana ” Financial Assistance for BC students from the year 2018-19 on the same lines of “ Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi” being implemented for SC students. “NTR Videshi Vidyadharana” will be sanctioned to 1000 BC students every year and is open to all eligible BC student graduates to pursue Post Graduate studies abroad.

ELIGIBILITY: (a) Income: BC Students whose family income is less than Rs.6.00 lakh per annum from all sources are eligible. In Social Welfare scheme, the income limit is Rs.6.00 lakh. Total income from all sources of the employed candidates or his/her parents/guardians, shall not exceed Rs.6.00 lakhs per annum. In all cases, the income certificate must be obtained through MEE SEVA. A copy of the latest Tax Assessment, as well as the latest they salary slip from the employer, is also required to be enclosed with the application.

Age: The Maximum age under the scheme shall not exceed 35 years as on 1st July of the year of advertisement.

Qualification: (1) For Post Graduate Course: Degree in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences /Agriculture Sciences / Medicine & Nursing /Social Sciences/Humanities. (2) For PhD Course: P.G course in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences / Agriculture Sciences / Medicine / Social Sciences/ Humanities.
• PG courses include PG Diploma courses of One year, and One and Half year duration.
• The scheme includes the study of CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and CPM (Certified Portfolio Manger) courses in the US since they are equivalent to Chartered Accountancy (CA) / Cost Accounting (CA) courses in India.

One child in a family one-time Award: Not more than one child of the same parents/ guardian’s will be eligible and to this effect, a self-certification will be required from the candidate. The awardee cannot be considered for the second or subsequent times as the individual can be awarded only once in a lifetime.

Countries eligible under the Scheme: USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Denmark, Russia, Philippines, Kazakhstan and China (Philippines, Kazakhstan and China only for medicine). Videshi Vidyadharana Scheme.

Mandatory Requirements:
i) He/She should have a valid TOEFL/IELTS & GRE/GMAT.
ii) He/She should have obtained admission in an accredited Foreign University.
iii) He/she should possess a valid Passport.
iv) The Candidates are required to make their own efforts in seeking admission in accredited University/Institution abroad.

v) The selected candidate has to join the concerned university within one year of communication of selection. On the expiry of this specified period of time, the award will be automatically cancelled and come to an end. No request for extension of time for availing the award is permissible under the Scheme.

vi) The candidate can change the course of study or research. Permission will be accorded on a case by case basis, subject to the approval by the State Level Selection Committee constituted under the Scheme. vii) It will be the responsibility of the candidate to obtain the appropriate visa or a country wherein one intends to study further under award from the Scheme and the Visa issuing authorities may kindly see that only such type of visa be issued which only permits the candidate to pursue specified course abroad and thereafter the candidate returns to India.

viii) The applications should be complete in all respects and should be accompanied by all relevant documents. The applications, incomplete in any respect, are liable to be rejected.

Procedure for Selection: (i) The notification shall be issued in leading dailies calling for applications and wide publicity will be given in University Campuses and in e-PASS portal in August/September. (ii) All such students desirous of applying for financial assistance for studies abroad shall apply online from 1st August to 30th September.

(iii) 33% of the awards shall be earmarked for Women Candidates (if an adequate number of eligible women candidates are not available then Male candidates may be selected against this 33%). Bifurcation of BC quota as 7 : 10 : 7 will be done between BC-A, B, D groups. The awards shall be proportionately allocated to the 13 districts based on a number of eligible applications from each district. (iv) The registration shall be made under the scheme online at .

v) The student shall submit the following documents:
1. Caste Certificate from Mee Seva.
2. Income Certificate from Mee Seva.
3. Date of Birth certificate.
4. Aadhar card.
5. E-pass ID Number.
6. Residential/Nativity certificate.
7. Passport copy.
8. Mark sheet from SSC/Inter/Graduate/PG level.
9. GRE /GMAT or equivalent qualifying exam/test scorecard.
10. TOFEL / IELTS scorecard.
11. Admission offer letter from Foreign University (I-20, letter of Admission or equivalent).
12. Copy of the latest Tax assessment is to be enclosed.
13. Copy of Bank Pass Book of Nationalized Bank.
14. Photo to be scanned and uploaded.

Scholarship Amount:
i) Fees: Fees shall be payable in Two instalments as follows:
Instalment-I: An amount of Rs.5.00 lakhs shall be payable to the Students upon production of the landing permit /I- 94 card. (Immigration Card)
Instalment-II: An amount of Rs.5.00 lakhs shall be payable to the students upon production of the 1st Semester results.
ii) Sanction proceedings mentioning that Rs.10.00 lakhs (గతంలో రూ.10లక్షలు ఉండేది) is sanctioned to the individual towards fees and living expenses by way of a grant subject to his/her joining the Course, shall be issued to the Candidates selected by the Selection Committee. The sanction proceedings can be made use of by the Candidates for obtaining a Visa from the respective Embassy.
iii) Earnings from Research/Teaching Assistance-ship: The awardees are permitted to supplement their prescribed allowances by undertaking Research/Teaching Assistantship.

Utilization Certificate: Utilization Certificates shall be obtained from the student with the due endorsement of concerned University Authorities for record purpose under the scheme.
