Who can apply? The case I: Candidates who had passed SSC or its equivalent. Case II: Candidates appearing for SSC Advanced Supplementary Examination to be held in June 2020 / NIOS/ TOSS/ APOSS, subject to the condition that candidate should have passed said Examination on the declaration of results.

Certificates to be produced by all candidates: All original certificates and 2 sets of Xerox copies like POLYCET AP Rank Card, Hall Ticket, S.S.C or its equivalent Marks memo, IV to X Study Certificate, Residence Certificate (in case where the candidate has no institutionalized education), Residence Certificate of either of parents in AP for 10 years in case of non-local candidates, Income Certificate issued after 01.01.2020, Aadhar Card, Caste Certificate issued by competent authority and also PH/CAP/NCC/Sports/Minority Certificate if applicable.

Certificates to be produced by PH/CAP/NCC/Sports/Minority Candidates/Anglo-Indian: PH-Certificate issued by District Medical Board Candidates with 40% and above disability are only eligible. CAP- Certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer, Identity card, and Discharge book (In case of Ex-Servicemen) and Service Certificate (in case of Service Men) issued by Competent Authority for verification.

Candidates whose parents are domiciled in AP based on the Permanent Address/Home Town declared by them while joining the service and as recorded in their Service Register are alone eligible to be considered under “CAP” Category. NCC & Sports- To produce Original Certificates issued by competent authorities.

Minorities: SSC TC containing Minority Status or Certificate from the Head Master. Anglo-Indian: A Certificate issued by Tahsildar the competent authority of their place of Residence.

Candidates / Parents are advised to exercise as many numbers of options as possible to avoid disappointment in not getting a seat. The options exercised will be considered for preliminary allotment of seat.

If consent for improved allotment of seat is given along with Tuition Fee payment by the candidate the same options will be considered for allotment. Therefore while exercising the options every care needs to be taken in selecting the college and Branch as per the choice of the candidates.

Candidate shall be an Indian National. Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (w) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and its subsequent amendments.

Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, TS/ AP such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE),

Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.

Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/Other Examinations recognized as equivalent to SSC by Telangana State should have passed all the subjects including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with a minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.

There is no age restriction for seeking admission into Diploma Courses in Polytechnics. However maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship is 20 years for OC candidates and 24 years for other candidates as per the guidelines prescribed in Memo No. 10537/ SW(Edn.2)/ 2011, dated: 20-10-2012 and further guidelines issued from time to time by Social Welfare (Edn.) Department shall apply.

Mere appearing for TSPOLYCET-2020 and obtaining a rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfils the requirements laid down for admissions..

Payment of Processing Fee:​

  • Register by entering
  • ICR Number is given on AP POLYCET Hall Ticket.
  • Date of Birth as mentioned in the SSC Marks Memo.
  • SSC Hall Ticket Number.
  • The Basic Information Form is displayed and fill in the details regarding Aadhar, Mobile No and Email Address. Also fill the details of Caste Certificate and Income Certificate application Number issued by Mee Seva, if applicable. Change of mobile number is not permitted.
  • Update the information and pay the Processing Fee of Rs.300/- (for SC/ST) and Rs.600/- (for others) through online payment (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking).

Slot Booking for Certificates Verification:​


All categories (OC/BC/SC/ST/MINORITY) candidates, Book your Slot (Selection of Help Line Center, Date & Time) to attend certificate verification at your nearest or convenient Help Line Center (HLC) mentioned in Annexure-I within the scheduled dates and attend for the Certificate Verification accordingly.

Without payment of Processing Fee and Slot Booking, the candidate is not permitted to attend for Certificate Verification. The candidate shall be permitted to attend for Certificate Verification only at the Help Line Centres (HLC) booked as per the schedule.

Special category candidates i.e (NCC) National Cadet Corps /(PHC) Physically Challenged/(CAP) Children of Armed Forces Personnel/ Anglo Indians need to book Slot duly selecting the Help Line Center of GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC to attend for certificate verification as mentioned in Annexure – I, other certificates of these candidates will also be verified on the dates mentioned along with Special Reservation category Certificates.

TUITION FEE TO BE PAID:

  • The Tuition Fee for Government/ Aided Polytechnics is Rs.3800/- per annum.
  • The Tuition Fee for Private Un-Aided / Self Finance Branch offered in Aided Polytechnics is Rs.15500/- per annum.
  • The Fee reimbursement for eligible candidates is subject to the guidelines issued by the Government from time to time.

The Qualified candidates of A.P POLYCET who are desirous of seeking admission into Diploma Courses are informed that the web based counseling process comprising of certificate verification will commence soon and exercising of options will commence soon. On the last day of schedule, options last exercised by the candidate will be frozen and candidate should take a print out. If candidate wishes to change the options once again after freezing, change frozen options from any hlc or home or internet cafe.

This is the final opportunity and after this no further change can be done. The options recorded in the server on the lastday will alone be considered for allotment of seats.

  • S.S.C or its equivalent Marks memo(Original or Internet copy).
  • Aadhar card.(will be returned after verification)
  • IV to X Study Certificate or Residence Certificate (in case where the candidate has no institutionalized education) or Residence Certificate of either of parents in A.P. for 10 years in case of non-local candidates.
  • Income Certificate issued on or after 01.01.2016 or white ration Card for claiming tuition fee reimbursement.
  • Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of reserved category candidates.
  • PH/CAP/NCC/Sports/Minority/Anglo-Indian Certificate if applicable.
  • In respect of PH category, candidates have to produce a certificate issued by the District Medical Board. Candidates who have disability of 40% and above will only be considered under PH category.
  • CAP category candidates have to produce a certificate issued by Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer (In case of Ex-Service Men), Identity Card and Discharge Book for verification. Candidates whose parents are domicile of Andhra Pradesh are eligible under CAP Category. The decision of authorities of sainik welfare of A.P is final in this matter.
  • Anglo-Indian Candidates have to produce a certificate issued by Competent Authority of their place of residence.
  • NCC & Sports – Produce original certificates issued by competent authorities. The candidate should have represented from the state of AP

Processing Fee: The Candidates of SC/ST category have to pay Rs. 400/- While OC/BC candidates have to pay Rs. 700/- towards Processing Fee.

Tuition Fee: Tuition fee payable after allotment is Rs. 4,700 (for Government and aided Polytechnics) and Rs.25,000 per annum (in Private unaided Polytechnics and Second Shift Engineering Colleges).

The reimbursement of Tuition fee in respect of all eligible candidates will be as per the orders issued by Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time.

However, The candidates who have been allotted a seat have to pay a non refundable fee of Rs.800/- towards A.P-SBTET recognition fee, Admissions fee, Syllabus Book, MIS fee & Tech Fest fee through online while downloading allotment order. The candidates have to pay difference of tuition fee in the allotted college.
