AMU’s UDLC to host discussion on Climate Change on December 28

Aligarh : The University Debating and Literary Club (UDLC), Cultural Education Centre, Aligarh Muslim University will organize an event titled “Climate Change at the Crossroads: Biodiversity, Sustainability, Technology, and Culture”, on 28th December at the Kennedy Auditorium, where experts will discuss the challenges of climate change and explore ways forward in the areas of biodiversity conservation, sustainable development, technological innovation, and the preservation of culture. The programme will begin at 12 noon.

“This important dialogue will be led by a distinguished panel of speakers including Prof. Sami Rafiq (Department of English), Prof. Azra Musavi (Director, Centre for Women’s Studies), Prof. Nadeem Khalil (Department of Civil Engineering), Prof. Mushtaq Zargar (Former Chairperson, Department of Modern Indian Languages), Prof. Aysha Munira Rasheed (Department of English), Dr. Faiza Abbasi (Director, UGC HRDC), Dr. Kishwar Zafir (Department of English) and Dr. Mohd. Firoz Ahamed (Women’s College, AMU)” said Prof. Nazia Hasan, President of the club.

The panel will engage in a discussion on the intersections between biodiversity, sustainability, technology, and culture, offering a comprehensive view of the challenges and opportunities in the battle against climate change.
