Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised test being administered to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes.
The All India Management Association (AIMA) released the form for the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) on its official website, mat.aima.in.
MAT is conducted both online and offline. Candidates can choose their exam preferences. The exam is also be held in the remote proctored internet-based test (IBT).
The AIMA conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) every year, for admission to PGDM/ MBA programme in various MAT score accepting colleges.
MAT will be held for admissions into MBA courses offered by 600 business schools. Those who clear the MAT are eligible to seek admission in MBA courses in 600+ participating B-Schools. Candidates can choose multiple institutes by paying a fee of Rs 118 per institute.

Candidate can opt for both the tests – PBT and CBT by paying an extra fee of Rs 1,100 in addition to Rs 1,550. Implying, for one exam, candidates have to pay Rs 1,550 and for both Rs 2,650.

Candidates can apply for single PBT or CBT test or can apply for both. The single test needs Rs 1550 as registration fees and for both, candidates will have to pay Rs 2650.

Candidates will be required to upload a scanned copy of their passport size photograph and signature. After the registration is over, the online payment process will be initiated which needs to be paid through debit/credit/net banking/Paytm.
Conducted four times in a year – February, May, September, and December, the exam will be held for 150 minutes. There will be fine sections, each having 40 questions. The medium of instruction will be English. Steps to apply for AIMA MAT:
- Go to the official website of AIMA MAT mat.aima.in
- Click on the registration button on the homepage. You will be redirected to a new page.
- Fill in the details to create a log in. Add a valid email ID and mobile number to receive the OTP for verification
- Press submit an OTP will be sent to the candidate’s email id. Enter the OTP in the space provided – ‘Verify & Submit’
- You will receive a confirmation message for the new login created
- After logging in, enter registered email, password, date of birth, personal details, educational qualification along with necessary documents, and click on the ‘Submit’ button. Candidates can also select up to five management institutes of their choice
