1. About Organisation
Trilegal’s 4th NALSAR-CCI Antitrust Moot Court Competition, 2025 is back this year to set the benchmark for antitrust law moots. Organised by the premier National Academy of Legal Studies and Research, with the direct involvement of the eminent Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the top law firm, Trilegal: this moot envisions the development of research and thinking on emerging issues in competition law.
2. About the Opportunity
The Moot is the Largest Antitrust Moot in the country, and this year’s edition is being organised in collaboration with two Title Sponsors: Trilegal, one of India’s most prominent law firms, and the Competition Commission of India¸, the premier institution shaping Indian Competition Law. SCC Online and SCC Times India’s most prominent legal research database providers, are the Knowledge & Media Partners.
3. Theme
The theme of the Moot is Competition and Antitrust Law.
4. Eligibility
The Competition is open to students currently enrolled in LL.B. Degree Courses (3 years/5 years) or LLM Postgraduate Degree Courses enrolled in any institution recognised by the Bar Council of India.
Applications from Open / Cross-Institutional / Mixed Teams Are Accepted.
There is No Limit On The Number Of Teams Applying From One Institution.
Interested participants are allowed to participate independently Of Their Institutional Identity.
5. Registration Fee
All teams registering for the competition must pay a registration fee of INR 7500 per team. This fee includes accommodation for all teams during the competition’s rounds. No separate fee will be levied later.
6. Prizes
Winning Team Award: The winning team will receive a Trophy, a cash prize of INR 1,00,000/- three one-year complimentary subscriptions to SCC Online Web Edition worth INR 24,000 each, and a chance at an Internship at Trilegal.
Runners-Up Team Award: The runners-up team will receive a Trophy, a cash prize of INR 50,000/-, and a chance at an Internship at Trilegal.
Best Speaker: The Best Speaker will receive a Trophy and a cash prize of INR 10,000.
Best Researcher: The Best Researcher shall receive a Trophy, a cash prize of INR 7,500 and a chance at an Internship at Trilegal.
Best Speaker in Finals: The Best Speaker in Finals shall receive a Trophy and a cash prize of INR 7,500.
The Team with the Best Memorandum (I) — Informant will receive a Trophy and a cash prize of INR 12,500.
The Team with the Best Memorandum (O) — Opposite Party will receive a Trophy and a cash prize of INR 12,500.
All participating teams will be provided with a certificate of participation or a certificate of merit in accordance with the performance of the team.
