10th Anniversary of International Day of Yoga celebrated at KIIT & KISS

Bhubaneswar: The 10th anniversary of the International Day of Yoga was celebrated with great fervour at the Biju Patnaik Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. Over 4000 students and staff from KIIT & KISS Deemed Universities enthusiastically participated in this significant event.



Addressing the gathering, Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Hon’ble Founder of KIIT and KISS, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi Ji for his unwavering efforts in promoting yoga on a global scale. Prof. Samanta underscored the deep-rooted presence of yoga in Indian culture spanning over a millennium and credited the Hon’ble Prime Minister for elevating its global prominence by establishing 21st June as the International Day of Yoga.



Praising this year’s theme, “Yoga for Self and Society”, Prof. Samanta emphasized its profound impact in nurturing a comprehensive approach to yoga practice. He expressed confidence that this theme would inspire individuals to adopt yoga as a daily routine, thereby enhancing personal well-being and making positive contributions to society.
