Dentistry is the second most popular specialization after MBBS. Students can pursue various courses in dentistry, including diplomas and certificates. To become a dentist, one must complete a bachelor's and master's degree in dentistry. These courses are pursued after completing 10+2 with science subjects. After completing the BDS degree, one can specialize further with an MDS degree or opt for short-term certification courses. NEET is required for admission to BDS programs in India. Dentists in India can earn an average of Rs. 5.5 - 6 lakhs per year.
