S Gurumurthy, a Chartered Accountant and journalist, inaugurated the event. Other notable guests included Professor Easwar Krishna Iyer from Great Lakes and Mr. P S Prabhakar, the Correspondent of P. S. Senior Secondary School. The GLPSS program, now in its 12th edition, aims to provide students with holistic management knowledge and real-world industry experience. After a temporary pause due to the pandemic, the program resumed, welcoming enthusiastic 11th graders.
During the ceremony, Professor Easwar Krishna Iyer emphasized the program’s objective of nurturing future leaders with a comprehensive understanding of management principles. In his speech, Shri. S Gurumurthy shared profound insights into contemporary management trends. He highlighted the importance of spiritual quotient along with intelligence quotient and emotional quotient. Drawing inspiration from the Mahabharata, he narrated stories that emphasized the significance of a composed mind and clarity of thought. Mr. Gurumurthy also emphasized the values deeply ingrained in Indian culture, such as sustainable practices and preserving familial bonds.
He showcased India’s foresight in resource conservation through compelling statistics. The event concluded with a group photograph of the students and distinguished guests. The ceremony ended on a patriotic note with a rendition of the national anthem.
