1 Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded Guyana’s highest national honor, The Order of Excellence
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with Guyana ‘s highest national honour, the Order of Excellence . He has been given this award for his visionary leadership, advocacy for the rights of developing countries at global forums, extraordinary service to the global community and commitment to strengthen India-Guyana relations. Guyana President Dr Irfaan Ali presented this award to Mr Modi at the Guyana State House.
2 K. Sanjay Murthy sworn in as Comptroller and Auditor General
Shri K Sanjay Murthy has taken oath as Comptroller and Auditor General . President Draupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to him at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Shri Murthy replaced Shri Girish Chandra Murmu who was appointed as Comptroller and Auditor General in August 2020. Prior to this, Shri Murthy served as Secretary, Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education.
3 India and Maldives will now transact in their respective currencies
India and Maldives will now transact in their respective currencies i.e. Rupee and Rufiyaa . The agreement to this effect was signed by Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das and Maldives Monetary Authority Governor Ahmed Munawar in Mumbai. This will also facilitate importers and exporters to pay bills in their own currency and payments will be made quickly. This agreement will also increase trade between the two countries.
4 MP’s Vikram Udyogpuri becomes the country’s cleanest industrial park, honored by Union Minister Piyush Goyal
Vikram Udyogpuri located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh has achieved a major milestone by becoming the cleanest industrial park in the country . This prestigious award has been given under the ‘ Clean Industrial Park ‘ campaign launched by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) . The award was given by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Thursday in a ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. A total of 15 industrial parks were honored for cleanliness in a ceremony held today on Thursday at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. Vikram Udyogpuri has increased the pride of Madhya Pradesh at the national level by securing the top position. In fact, FICCI has started this initiative in the name of ‘Clean Industrial Park’ campaign under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’.
5 Australia and India sign agreement for air-to-air refuelling of military aircraft
Australia and India have signed an arrangement to enable the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and the Indian Armed Forces to provide air-to-air refuelling , according to a statement from the Australian Ministry of Defence. According to this, Minister of Defence Industry and Capability Delivery Pat Conroy MP and India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced this arrangement during bilateral discussions on Thursday. Under this arrangement, the RAAF’s air-to-air refuelling aircraft KC-30A Multi-Role Tanker Transport will be able to refuel the aircraft of the Indian Armed Forces. The statement said that the Deputy Chief of the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Harvey Reynolds, AM signed the arrangement at the Australia-India Air Staff Talks in New Delhi on 19 November.
6 Jal Shakti Minister launched “Bhu-Neer” portal for permission of ground water extraction
Hon’ble Minister for Jal Shakti Shri CR Patil digitally launched the newly developed “ Bhoo-Neer ” portal during the closing ceremony of India Water Week 2024 on 19th September, 2024. “Bhoo-Neer” is an advanced portal developed by Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) under Ministry of Jal Shakti in collaboration with National Informatics Centre (NIC) for better regulation of groundwater across the country. This portal will serve as a single platform for management and regulation of groundwater resources with an aim to ensure transparency, efficiency and sustainability in groundwater use. “Bhoo-Neer” portal is designed to provide comprehensive details about the legal framework governing groundwater extraction, regulations at state and national levels. Its centralized database will make critical information on groundwater compliance, policies and sustainable methods accessible to users.
7 SECIs sign MoU to promote green hydrogen initiative
Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI), under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with H2 Global Stiftung to establish a collaborative framework towards promoting green hydrogen initiatives . It aims to promote knowledge exchange on market-based processes and cooperation between India and importing countries. It aims to contribute to the global advancement of a green hydrogen-based economy.
8 Justice D. Krishnakumar took over as Chief Justice of Manipur High Court
In exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, the President has appointed Justice D. Krishnakumar , Judge, Madras High Court as the Chief Justice of Manipur High Court with effect from the date on which he assumes charge, that is, on 21.11.2024, consequent to the retirement of Justice Siddharth Mridul, the present Chief Justice of Manipur High Court.

Armenia has become the 114th full member of the International Solar Alliance . The International Solar Alliance is a global intergovernmental organization promoting solar energy for a carbon-free future. The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is conceived as an alliance of solar resource-rich countries to meet their specific energy needs and was launched on 30 November 2015 by India and France to implement the Paris Agreement.
10 Shri Krishna Patheya Nyas will be formed with the objective of developing the places related to Lord Krishna as pilgrimage sites
With the objective of developing the places related to Lord Krishna in the state as pilgrimage sites, “ Shri Krishna Pathey Nyas ” will be formed under Madhya Pradesh Public Trust Act 1951. The headquarters of the Nyas will be Bhopal . 6 posts will be created for this. This proposal was approved in the cabinet meeting held at the Bhopal-based ministry under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav . According to the approved proposal, literary and cultural preservation and promotion of the areas related to Lord Krishna will be done. The Nyas will be able to implement activities like management of Lord Krishna’s temples and structures, consultation, suggestions for the establishment of Sandipani Gurukul, development of Sri Krishna Pathey places from social, economic and tourism point of view, establishment of library, museum etc. The Nyas will have a total of 28 members. In this, 23 ex-officio trustee members and 5 renowned scholarly members will be nominated as non-official trustee members. The tenure of non-official trustee members will be maximum 3 years.
11 Cyclone forming in Bay of Bengal, ‘Fenjal’ likely to reach the coast by Sunday
A cyclonic situation has developed in the Bay of Bengal , due to which the Meteorological Department has predicted the formation of a cyclone named ‘ Fenjal ‘ in the next few days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information on Thursday night. According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic pressure area has formed in the Bay of Bengal near South Andaman and Nicobar. Due to its effect, a low pressure area is likely to form in the surrounding areas, which can gradually intensify and take the form of ‘deep pressure’ and then cyclone.
