The Syllabus of CMC Vellore 2025 for Group A and Group B programmes can be checked through online mode. The Syllabus contains topics from 10+2 level Boards recognised by the TN Dr MGR Medical University.
For a special paper of a particular course, the questions are related to that respective subject. For MBBS admission into CMC Vellore, NEET scores are considered. So, candidates have to study through NEET syllabus to get admission in MBBS in the institution.
Below we have provided the details of subjects from which the question paper will be made for various Programmes:
The question paper of NEET entrance test consist of questions from Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Biology section will be divided into two parts – Botany and Zoology. There will be a total of 200 questions, out of which candidates will have to answer 180 questions.
The question paper of the entrance test for Group A admission (except for MBBS) will consist of questions from Physics, Biology and Chemistry. There will also be questions for the Aptitude Assessment test which will contain few questions on issues of current topical interest and General Ability.
The question paper of the entrance test for Group B (Science) admission will consist of questions from Biology, Physics, Chemistry and General Ability. Also there will be some questions regarding issues of current topical interest.
The question paper of entrance test for Group B (Non-Science) admission will consist of questions of general nature related to Current Awareness, Basic Science, General Knowledge and General Ability.

For MBBS (Through NEET):
- Exam Date: NEET exam will be organised on 4th May 2025.
- Exam Mode: The examination will be held through offline mode (paper based).
- Type of Question: Questions will be objective types. Each question contains four optional answers; students will be required to mark the correct answer only.
- Number of Questions: The paper contains 180 questions. Section B has been removed
- Subjects: The question paper is composed of four sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
- Exam Duration: The exam duration is of three hours and twenty minutes.
- Marking: 4 marks are provided for each correct answer. 1 mark is subtracted as negative marking for each incorrect response.
- Question Paper Language: The language of the question paper is English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Oriya, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Urdu, and Telugu.

For UG Programmes:
- Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted through Online CBT mode.

- Marking: There will be no negative marking for wrong responses. +1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
- Subjects: The question paper will contain 60 questions each in Physics, Biology and Chemistry and 120 questions in General Ability.
For Diploma Programmes:
- Exam Mode: The entrance test will be conducted in Online CBT mode.
- Type of questions: The paper will contain a total of 90 MCQS.
- Mode Language: The mode of entrance test will be in English language.
- Subjects: Candidates will be asked questions from Physics, Biology, Chemistry, General Ability and few questions on current issues.
- Marking: There will be no negative marking for wrong answers and +1 mark will be awarded for each correct answer.
