New Delhi : Bhaatkhande Sangit Vidyalaya, a renowned institution dedicated to promoting classical Indian music and dance, is proud to announce its Annual Music and Dance Concert 2024 in celebration of its 85th anniversary. The event will take place on Saturday, 23rd November 2024, from 5:45 PM onwards, at the India International Centre, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.

Established by its visionary founder to nurture Hindustani music among Indians, the school was originally founded in Rangoon, Burma, during pre-colonial India. The institution relocated to India following geopolitical upheavals after World War II. It has since remained a cornerstone in the preservation and promotion of Hindustani classical music.

- 60-70 students will display exceptional skills in Hindustani vocal, instrumental, and dance performances. Instruments such as the guitar, flute, and keyboard will feature prominently.
- Young artists, aged 7 to 9, will perform the rare Chaturanga, an ancient composition combining intricate ragas, poetry, rhythm, and bols.
- Another standout performance will feature a special orchestra, blending instruments such as the guitar, keyboard, and flute, characterized by sharp cadence and dynamic tempo.
- A tabla ensemble of 6 students will perform to the beats of the Shiv Stotram, a key highlight blending devotional and rhythmic artistry.
- The evening will celebrate inclusivity with performances by a 6-year-old artist sharing the stage with a 50-year-old performer, symbolizing the timeless and unifying power of music.
