Mr. Vishwa Ranjan joined the Institute on May 01, 2024, as Registrar. He is also Secretary, Board of Governors.
Mr. Vishwa Ranjan obtained his bachelor’s in chemical technology from HBTI Kanpur and MSc in Chemistry from Kanpur University.
He is a seasoned public policy leader with experience spanning over 3 decades. Before joining IIT Kanpur, he has served in various capacities at IIT Patna, IIM Lucknow, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. He also led founding teams at IIM Sirmaur and IIM Jammu and has served as an advisor to 10+ NITs, IITs, AIIMS, IIMs and other government education and research institutions. He was also nominated as the member of Finance Committee NIPER Hajipur.
