Thapar University 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the following mentioned Thapar University 2024 eligibility criteria before applying:
For B. Tech:
- Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 level or its equivalent exam from any recognized board.
- Marks Criteria: One should obtained minimum of 60% marks (55% in case of reserved category) in their qualifying exam.
- Subjects: Candidates must pass with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry (PCM) as mandatory subject along with Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer science.
- Appearing: 12th class appearing candidates will be also eligible.
For MBA:
- Qualification: Candidates must have bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised institute/ university.
- OR candidates having post graduate degree in any stream with 50% marks (45% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA will be eligible.
- OR candidates those have completed their graduation in professional courses with 50% marks (45% for reserved category) in all parts/sections of the 12th exam.
- Appearing: Final year appearing candidates will also be eligible to apply.
- Score Card: Candidates must have a valid score of GMAT/ GRE/ CAT/ MAT/ SNAP/ NMAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ Thapar aptitude test.
Thapar University 2024 Admission Procedure
Thapar University 2024 Admission will take place in various rounds. Firstly, candidates will need to register themselves on the website. If candidates have not appeared in any other national level examination, then they will need to appear for TMAT (Thapar Management Aptitude Test).
Based on the entrance examinations, authority will shortlist the candidates for further procedures i.e. personal interview. Eligible candidates will need to participate in counselling and other admission rounds.
Thapar University 2024 Entrance Exam (TMAT)
Thapar University will conduct an aptitude test to shortlist the candidates for counselling. TMAT (Thapar Management Aptitude Test) is conducted through offline mode. Examination will be conducted from first to fourth week of March 2024.
Question paper will contain multiple choice questions. Language of the paper will be Hindi and English. Examination will be conducted in 2 hours duration. Candidate who will qualify the aptitude test will be eligible for further admission rounds.
Thapar University 2024 Result/ Merit List
Result will be announced by the authority through online mode on the website. Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling based on the marks obtained by them in aptitude test/ other national level examinations. Candidates will be called for the interview rounds on the basis of their ranks obtained in the exam.

Thapar University 2024 Counselling/ Selection
Counselling will be organised in various steps. Candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process by person. It will be compulsory for the shortlisted candidates to participate in counselling. It will be organised in offline mode. Seat will be provided to the candidates based on the final merit.
Provisional admission letter will be available to download after the allotment of seats. Candidates will need to reach at the institute with admission letter and other required documents for verification. Candidates will also need to pay admission fee at the same day to confirm their seats.
