- The Application Form will be released for eligible candidates only.
- Eligible candidates will be able to submit the application form from the 1st week of April 2023 through online
- Candidates must fill out the application form very carefully and as per the instructions given on the application form, any alteration in the details can cause rejection of the application form.
- Candidates must submit the application form before the prescribed date for submission, as no application form will be accepted after that date.
- The last date for submission of the application form will be till 2nd week of June 2023and the 3rd week of June 2023 (for the 1st year).
- Candidates are advised to keep the printout of the filled application form and fee receipt for future reference.
Application Fee:
The Application fee can be submitted online as well as offline mode. Candidates can use prescribed online payment gateways (debit card, credit card, net banking) for the transaction of application fee.

Diploma in Engineering/ Technology Courses:
- Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th level or equivalent examination from any recognized board.
- Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be at least 14 years as of 1st July 2023. The lower age limit is 16 years for the students applying for Mining & Drilling Engineering. No upper age limit prescribed.
- Marks Criteria: Candidates must have scored at least 35% marks (30% in each subject) in their qualifying exam with English, Mathematics & Science subjects.
Lateral Entry Engineering and Technology:
- Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12th level (Intermediate) or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
- Age: Candidates must be at least 14 years. The lower age limit is 16 years for the students applying for Mining & Drilling Engineering. No upper age limit prescribed
- Marks: Candidates must have scored at least 30% marks in each subject at their qualifying exam.
- Subjects: Candidates must have passed the 12th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
Diploma in Non -Engineering Courses (1st year):
- Age Criteria: Lower age limit to apply is 16 years for Non -Engineering courses except Beauty Culture. For Beauty Culture, lower age limit is 14 year. There is no upper age limit.
- Modern Office Management (MOM): Passed 12th in Science/ Commerce/ Arts from CHSE Odisha or its equivalent securing 30% marks in each subject.
- HM & CT: Passed 12th in Science/ Commerce/ Arts from CHSE Odisha or its equivalent securing 35 % marks aggregate and 30% marks in each subject.
- Pharmacy: Passed 12th in Science stream with PCB or PCM subjects or its equivalent exam approved by Pharmacy Council of India securing 30% marks in each subject.
- Beauty Culture: Passed HSC/ 10th level securing 35% marks aggregate and 30% marks in each subject with English, Mathematics & Science subjects.

Odisha DET 2023 Merit List/ Result
Candidates will be able to check the List 2023 through online mode. The merit will be published from June 2023 after the document verification.
Separate merit lists will be drawn for all applicants on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in qualifying exam. The general merit list will be uploaded for Diploma Engineering/ Technology courses. And separate list for each of reservation category, LE admissions, Diploma Engineering/ Technology/ Non- Engineering will be released.

The authority will reserve several seats for the reserved category candidates according to the reservation policy of the government. The complete reservation policy is as follows:

Odisha DET 2023 Counseling
The counseling procedure will be organized based on the released final merit list on the website. Only shortlisted candidates through the merit list will be called for the Odisha DET counselling/ document verification procedure. Registrations for Counseling process will be done through online mode.
Complete schedule of counselling will be released by the authority on the website. The Counseling procedure will follow various rounds including the registration, choice filling, allotment of seats and reporting. The seats will be offered to the candidates based on their ranks secured in the merit list and choice filling.
After the allotment of seats, students will be called for reporting at their allotted centers. Also, candidates have to bring the following documents for the verification round –
