NEST 2023 Application Form

- NEST 2023 Application Form has been released by the authority through online mode. No other mode is entertained.
- Candidates are advised to use valid and working Email ID and Phone numbers to register.
- Candidates are able to fill out the application form from 27th February 2023 to 17th May 2023.
- Application forms has been released for eligible candidates only, so candidates are advised to confirm their eligibility before applying.
- Correction facility may of may not be provided by the authority. Candidates should fill out the application form carefully before the last date.
- Upload required documents i.e. photograph & signature in the specific format.
- Correction window will be opened from 26th to 29th May 2023.
- Candidates must keep the printout of the filled application form and fee receipt for future reference.
Documents Required for Applying NEST 2023:
The following are the necessary documents which candidates must upload during filling of application:
- The passport size photograph & signature of the candidate should be in jpg/ jpeg format and the image size should not be more than 80 kb.
- Graduation Degree/ Mark sheet
- Left-Hand thumb impression of the candidate
- Class 10th certificate of the candidate
- Post Card size photograph of the candidate, etc.
Application Fee:
NEST 2023 Application form fee can be submitted through online mode only. Candidates can use Credit Card, Debit Card, and Net Banking for the transaction.

How to Apply for NEST 2023:
Following are the complete step by step process for filling NEST online Application form:
- Visit the website of NEST 2023 (Link is given above)
- Now click on the ‘New candidates’ registration link and register yourself by filling online registration form.
- Fill the registration form with asked details – Name, Date of Birth, roll number of High School, Mobile number, email id, etc. then fill the captcha code and click on ‘Register’.
- Candidates will receive user id and password for application form through SMS and Email.
- Login into the website and fill details in application.
- The Application Form will consist of details like Personal, Academic, communicational, exam center, etc.
- Now candidates have to submit the required documents – passport size photograph and signature, etc.
- Select the payment gateways & complete the transaction.
- After the completion of transaction of application fee, take the printout of fee receipt and filled Application form for future reference.
NEST Eligibility Criteria 2023
Here are details of criteria for the examination:
- Qualification: Candidates should have passed 12th Intermediate or its equivalent examination from any recognized board in year 2021 or 2022.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after 1st August 2003 can apply for NEST. However, 5 years relaxation is given to ST/ SC/ PWD candidates.
- Marks Criteria: The minimum marks obtained in the examination must be 60% (55% for those belonging to SC/ST/ PWD categories).
- Subject: The candidates are required to have passed the above examination with Science stream consisting of subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics as a mandatory subject in the qualifying examination.
- Appearing: Those candidates who are appearing 12th class in 2023 can also apply for the exam.
NEST 2023 Exam Pattern
Here is the complete for the examination:
- Mode of Examination: The mode of exam will be Computer-Based Test (CBT) online exam.
- Questions Type: The question paper will have Multiple -Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Time Duration: The duration of the examination will be 4 hours for completing the exam.
- Total Marks: The question paper will be of overall 200 marks.
- Sections: There are 4 different sections in the question paper which includes subjects like physics, chemistry, mathematics, and biology. Each subject contain 17 questions in which 12 questions will be single correct answer MCQs & 5 questions will be multiple correct answer MCQs.
- Marking Scheme: In single correct answer MCQs candidates will earn 2.5 marks & for multiple correct answer MCQs 4 marks will be awarded.
- Negative Marking: No marks will be deducted for multiple correct answer MCQs & 1 mark will be deducted for single correct answer MCQs.

NEST 2023 Admit Card
The NEST 2023 Admit card will be released on 12th June 2023 through online mode. To download the NEST 2023 Admit card, candidates will be required to log in with their application number, password & captcha image code.

NEST 2023 Answer Key
NEST 2023 Answer key will be sent to the candidates who will appear for NEST 2023 exam on their registered email id by the NISER. The will be released from fourth week of June 2023.
An option wil be provided for the candidates by the authority to raise objections against the answer key in case of any discrepancies found. Students must verify by cross-checking their answers with the provided NEST exam answer key.
For objecting to NEST 2023 answer key, candidates must provide their NEST roll number along with the question ID. The authority will release the final answer key soon after considering all the objections submitted by the candidates.
NEST 2023 Result
NEST 2023 Result will only be published after the NEST exam will be concluded successfully. Candidates will have to check the and then apply for the next level of the exam before the given due date.
The result will be released on 10th July 2023 through online mode. The candidates having their names in the list will be eligible to receive the scholarship rewards and top selected candidates will also be granted the NEST exam pass certificate.

NEST 2023 Counselling
The will be conducted in three rounds. The counselling process of the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2023 will be conducted for admission to Integrated MSc courses at NISER and UM-DAE-CBS separately through offline mode.
All shortlisted candidates will be allotted seats in their respective courses at NISER and CEBS based on their merit lists. It must be also noted that there will be no joint counselling for NEST.
