Mr. A.J. Jawad Takes Charge as the New Registrar for International Arbitration and Mediation Centre, Hyderabad

The International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC), Hyderabad, welcomes Mr. A.J. Jawad as its new Registrar.

The Board of Trustees of IAMC expressed appreciation for the outgoing Registrar, stating,

“We thank Mr. Tariq Khan for his efforts and contribution as Registrar in building up the visibility of IAMC Hyderabad in the international arbitration arena. He is reluctantly departing at the end of this year to pursue his passion by resuming his arbitration practice. We wish him the best in his endeavours.”

Welcoming the new Registrar, the Trustees noted,

“We take this occasion to welcome Mr. A.J. Jawad, Advocate and renowned mediator, as the new Registrar of IAMC Hyderabad from January 1, 2025. We are sure that his experience and commitment will enable IAMC Hyderabad to render distinguished service in the field of arbitration and mediation.”

Mr. Tariq Khan added,

“It has been an honour to serve as the founding registrar, and I am excited to see the positive changes and contributions that Mr. Jawad will bring to this great institution. I am deeply grateful to the esteemed Trustees of IAMC, Hyderabad especially Hon’ble Mr. Justice L. Nageswara Rao and Hon’ble Mr. Justice R.V Raveendran for their unwavering support and believing in me. Everything we have achieved in this short journey is a result of their vision and dedication and I am truly honoured to have had the opportunity to work under their guidance. My heartfelt thanks to Mr. Sitesh Mukherjee, Founding Member of the Governing Council who’s constant guidance has been invaluable.

As one of the senior-most mediators in the country, Mr. Jawad’s leadership will undoubtedly elevate IAMC to even greater heights.”


Upon his appointment, Mr. A.J. Jawad said,

“I am truly honoured to assume the role of Registrar at IAMC, one of India’s most esteemed and leading ADR institutions. I am grateful to the Board of Trustees for placing their trust and confidence in me. It is a privilege to succeed Mr. Tariq Khan, whose leadership since the institution’s inception has established it as a source of pride. I look forward to building on his remarkable work with the guidance and support of the visionary trustees and governing council.”

This change marks a new phase for IAMC, focused on building a strong arbitration and mediation ecosystem. The Centre remains committed to delivering excellent dispute resolution services and promoting awareness of alternative dispute resolution methods.
