The Junior Shooting World Cup will be held in India next year . It will have rifle, pistol and shotgun competitions. This will be the first time that India will host the Junior Shooting World Cup. This will be the third major world shooting competition to be held in the country. Last year the Senior World Cup was held in Bhopal and this year the Shooting World Cup Final was held.
2 Kuwait gave its highest honor ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’ to Prime Minister Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was awarded Kuwait ‘s highest honour ” The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir ” on Sunday . This is the 20th international honour given to PM Modi by any country . “Mubarak Al Kabir Order” is a special knighthood honour of Kuwait. This honour is usually given to the head of a country, foreign rulers and members of the royal family as a symbol of friendship. Earlier, this honour has been given to foreign leaders like two former US presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush and Prince Charles of Great Britain . Earlier, Prime Minister Modi was given a grand welcome during his state visit to the Gulf country Kuwait and a formal guard of honour was given at Kuwait’s Bayan Palace. Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah was also present on this occasion.
3 Former Supreme Court judge Madan Lokur appointed chairman of the United Nations Internal Justice Council
Former Supreme Court judge Madan Lokur has been appointed as the chairman of the United Nations Internal Justice Council . Mr Lokur’s term will last till November 12, 2028. The council was formed by the United Nations General Assembly as part of the new internal justice system to ensure fairness and accountability in the administration of the UN justice system. Justice Lokur served as a judge in the Supreme Court for more than six years. He retired in the year 2018.

The Prime Minister also met Abdullah Al Baroon, who translated the Ramayana and Mahabharata into Arabic, and Abdul Latif Al Nasef, who published it . Among those who warmly met Prime Minister Modi in Kuwait was 101-year-old Mangal Sen Handa , a former Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer. He now lives in Kuwait and retired about four decades ago.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has announced the launch of Udaan Yatri Cafes across the country to provide basic necessities like food and water at airports at affordable rates. This unique initiative has been started at Kolkata airport on a pilot basis . Once successful, the Airports Authority of India will launch them at other airports across the country. With the launch of the first Udaan Yatri Cafe at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, air passengers will now get essential items like water bottles, tea, coffee and snacks at affordable rates.

In Iceland, a new government led by Social Democratic Alliance-SDA Prime Minister Kristen Frostadottir took charge. Ms. Frostadottir is the youngest Prime Minister of Iceland. She was elected to Parliament in 2021 and became the leader of the SDA in 2022. The three-party coalition government includes SDA, Liberation Reform Party and People’s Party. The government statement said that SDA and Liberation Reform Party will have four ministries each. While the People’s Party has been given three departments.

The Department of Consumer Affairs will launch Jago Grahak Jago App , Jagriti App and Jagriti Dashboard on Tuesday on the occasion of National Consumer Day 2024. These portals aim to enhance the efficiency of the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) in taking suo motu action against dark patterns that mislead consumers. The Jago Grahak Jago App aims to provide essential e-commerce information on all Universal Resource Links (URLs) during consumers’ online activities. The app alerts consumers in case a URL link is unsafe and cautions them to use it. The Jagriti App allows consumers to report URLs with suspicious presence of one or more illegal dark patterns. These reports will be registered as complaints with the Central Consumer Protection Authority for troubleshooting and prompt action.

India has won the title by defeating Bangladesh by 41 runs in the final of the Under-19 Women’s Twenty-Twenty Asia Cup Cricket in Kuala Lumpur . Batting first, India scored 117 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. G. Trisha made the highest contribution of 52 runs in 47 balls. Farzana Esmin dismissed four players from Bangladesh’s side. In reply to the target of 118 runs, Bangladesh’s team was reduced to 76 runs in 18 overs and three balls. India’s Ayushi Shukla took three wickets while Parunika Sisodia and Sonam Yadav dismissed two players each. The best six teams of Asia participated in this tournament. Under the captaincy of Nikki Prasad, India won all the matches in this competition.

Rajasthan Royals have bought his services for one crore and one lakh rupees. Vaibhav has also been the youngest player to play for Bihar in the Vijay Hazare Trophy . Vaibhav Suryavanshi also holds the record of being the youngest Indian to play in the Ranji Trophy and represent India in Under-19 cricket.

Brazil ‘s Joao Fonseca has won the title of the Next Gen ATP Finals tennis tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia . Fonseca won the championship by defeating America’s Lerner Tien 2-4, 4-3, 4-0, 4-2 in a four-set match. 18-year-old Fonseca was the youngest participant in the tournament this year. He is the second youngest champion to win the tournament after Jannik Sinner’s victory in 2019. The Next Gen ATP Finals is an annual tennis tournament in which the best male players of the season aged 20 and under participate.

India’s Anahat Singh has won the women’s singles title at the Western India Slam Squash Tournament in Mumbai . In the final, Anahat defeated top seeded Akanksha Salunkhe of India 3-0. Anahat won all three games by an equal margin of 11-8.

Mentioning the wide-reaching impact of the cycling campaign, Shri Mandaviya said that the “Fit India Sunday on Cycle” initiative is being organized simultaneously at more than 1100 locations across India. ‘Fit India Sunday on Cycle’ is organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with Cycling Federation of India (CFI) and My Bharat. The events are organized simultaneously at Regional Centres of Sports Authority of India, National Centres of Excellence (NCOE) and Khelo India Centres (KIC) across the country.
