JEE Main 2023 Answer Key
Answer key for JEE Main 2023 has been released by institutions after the examination shifts. Official answer key will be made available for downloading through login. Authority also provides the challenge facility for the official answer key.
2023 will be released in April/ May 2023 (session 2) through online mode. Through the answer key, candidates can get an estimate idea about their marks.
Candidates who want to challenge answer key needs to pay Rs. 200/- per question. Authority also releases the recorded response and question paper attempted by the candidates two or three days prior to the announcement of the result. For Session 1, it was released on 24th January 2023 (Institutional) & 2nd February 2023 (official).
JEE Main 2023 Admit Card
2023 has been made available through online mode. Candidates can download their admit card from the website. For Session 2, the hall ticket is made available from 3rd April 2023. It will not be sent by post or through other offline modes to the candidates.
Candidates must read all the instructions carefully given on the admit card. In case of any discrepancy in details, candidates must contact the official authority immediately.
No candidates will be allowed to appear the examination without admit card. Take printout of the admit card and keep it safe for future references. For first session it was released on 21st January 2023.

Candidates must go through following details regarding :
- Mode of Exam: It is conducted via online (Computer-based) mode. However, in Paper 2A (B.Arch exam) the drawing test will be held via pen-paper based mode on a drawing sheet of A4 size.
- Number of Papers: There will be two papers in JEE Main – Paper I for B.E/ B.Tech & Paper 2A/ 2B for B.Arch/ B.Plan.
- Time Duration: Candidates will get 3 hours to solve the paper (4 hours for PWD).
- Questions Type: Objective type questions will be asked in the exam. Paper 2 will be subjective in nature.
- Number of Questions: There will be total 90 questions in Paper I (B.Tech/B.E) & 82 in Paper II A (B.Arch) and 105 questions in Paper II B (B.Plan).
- Languages: Candidates will be able to attempt JEE Main in various languages. These are English, Gujarati, Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Assamese, Tamil, Urdu, Telugu & Punjabi.
- Marks: Paper 1 will consist of 300 marks, Paper II A & Paper II B will consists of 400 marks.
- Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 4 marks will be given. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

JEE Main 2023 Syllabus
2022 includes topics from class 11th & 12th level. Candidates are advised to go through class NCERT syllabus while preparing. The proper & complete syllabus of JEE Main 2023 can be checked online on the NTA website.
For catering the decision of different boards regarding reduction in syllabus, NTA has decided to provide choice in one section of each subject of Paper 1 and Part I of Paper 2A and 2B. However, total number of questions to be attempted will remain same wherever applicable.
For JEE Main (Paper I), questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics topics. For Paper II A, questions will be from topics as Mathematics, Drawing & Aptitude. For Paper II B, questions will be from Aptitude Test, Mathematics & Planning Based section.
For Paper I (B.E/ B.Tech):

JEE Main 2023 Result
2023 will be declared in May/ June 2023 for Session 1. Result is released based on the final answer key released by the authority. Candidates can access their result by online mode.
There no facility provided for re-evaluation or re-checking of the result. Results can be checked through login details i.e., date of birth or roll number. Candidates must check their results carefully and take printout of it. It has been announced for session 1 on 6th February 2023.
JEE Main 2023 Score Card
JEE Main score card are released few days after the declaration of result. Candidates must download their score card through login details. Check complete details carefully printed on the score card, in case of any mistakes contact to the official authority.
Aspirants must keep the score card safe for admission procedure. Score card will also be sent to the candidates on their registered email address. It will include details i.e. name, total marks, subject wise marks etc.
JEE Main 2023 Rank List
Authority will display a rank list after declaration of both session result. Rank list will be released in the month of May/ June 2023 for session 2 through online mode. It will be made available in the form of PDF in the website.
Ranks will be calculated by comparing both the sessions. Rank list will not be available through any offline mode. Candidates will need to download rank list from the website.

JEE Main 2023 Cut Off
will be the minimum marks required for the qualifying the examination. It will be released through online mode on the website. The released cut off will vary for different categories.
It will be compulsory for the candidates to obtain minimum cut off marks to be eligible for admission. Candidates will be able to check cut off using login details. It will be released in the month of June/ July 2023.
Cut off list is prepared based on various factors i.e. number of aspirants appeared in the exam, difficulty level of the exam, number of seats available etc.

JEE Main 2023 Counselling
Counselling will be started in the month of June/ July 2023 by the authorities. It will be organized through online mode. Eligible candidates will be eligible to participate in the counselling procedure. Counselling will be organized by the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) & CSAB (central seat allocation board).
2023 procedure will be completed in various steps including registration, fee payment, choice filling and seat allotment. Candidates who will get seat in the counselling will need to report in the allocated institute with required documents.
Aspirants will need to download their seat allotment letter from the website. It will be made available through login.

How to Fill JEE Main 2023 Application?
- Visit the online registration link (Link is provided above).
- Tap on the option as “JEE Main 2023 Registration”.
- Now start filling details to register. A login id password has been provided on mobile number or through mail.
- Login using the details, fill out application with necessary details – Personal, communication, qualification, etc.
- Upload scanned images of photograph, signature, thumb impression, etc. as per the specifications mentioned about the format and size.
- Now last step is to pay the application fee through the provided payment gateways.
- Confirmation page will be generated. Take print out of confirmation page and submitted application form.
JEE Main 2023 Application Correction
For Session 2, facility 2023 has been provided from 13th March 2023. The corrections can be done through online link provided by entering their login details. Candidates must note that corrections in application is available only in some specific details.
None are allowed for corrections in session 1 applications after 14th January 2023 (11.50 pm). Corrections are not entertained through any offline modes/ post/ email/ fax or by hand by the authority.
JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility:
- Nationality: Indian nationals & International applicants are eligible to apply. However, International applicants must obtain necessary marks prescribed by AIU for JEE Main.
- Attempt Limit: No attempt limit is prescribed to apply for JEE Main 2023.
- Qualification (B.E/ B.Tech): Passed 12th level with 5 subjects with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or any other technical vocational as optional subject.
- Qualification (B.Arch): Passed 12th level with Mathematics as compulsory subject.
- Qualification (B.Plan): Passed 12th level with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
- For IIIT, NIT, CFTIs admission (through CSAB): Candidates according to recent notice by NTA, admission into NITs, IIITs & other such CFTIs whose admissions are based on JEE Main ranks, must have secured at least of 75% marks in 12th exam (65% for ST/SC) or be in the top 20 percentile in class 12th exam conducted by respective board.
Age Criteria:
- No age limit is prescribed for the candidates appearing in JEE Main 2023.
- Candidates who have passed 12th level or its equivalent in the year 2021, 2022 or are appearing in 2023 can apply.
- Candidates have to qualify the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Institutions as well in which they are taking admission.
State of Eligibility:
- At the time of registration process, students have to fill their state code of eligibility. Candidates are required to choose the state code of eligibility from which they have qualified their 12th level exam.
- The state code of eligibility will not depend upon the residence or native place of candidates.
- For the Indian national students who will pass their 12th level from institutions located abroad, their state code of eligibility will be determined according to their mentioned permanent address in their passports.
