IIST 2023 Rank List has been released on 17th May 2023 for PG courses. The Rank List will be released for PG courses through online mode. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is a deemed university which offers various UG & PG courses. The institute provides education in the field of Engineering, Technology, Space science & applications. IIST did not organize any entrance test for admission to the above courses. The admission will be based on national level examinations, i.e. JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, JEST, etc. In this article, we have updated complete information about IIST Rank List 2023.

Authority will release IIST admission rank list 2023 through online mode on the website. Candidates will be able to check their rank card through the website of conducting authority. It will be made available only for candidates those have submitted the application form successfully.

Authority will release rank list for UG and PG courses separately in different dates. Candidates can check UG rank list in second week of October 2023. For PG Course, it will be published on 17th May 2023 based on GATE. For department of chemistry, earth and space science & mathematics will be out in June 2023. IIST 2023 rank list will be published according to the category.

will be organized through offline mode for UG & PG courses. The counselling will be conducted on different dates for all the courses offered. As per the rank of the candidates in the respective exam, they will be called for the counselling rounds.

IIST 2023 Merit List​

For B.Tech Course, IIST Merit List 2023 will be prepared on the basis of their aggregate marks secured in JEE Advanced 2023. For PG courses, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE scores for interview/written test.

In the rank list, the details about date/venues of the counselling will be published through online mode. Candidates should take a print copy of it for further procedure.

IIST Admission Rank list will be generated only for those candidates who register online for admission to IIST, Pay the registration fee and satisfy all the eligibility criteria.

After the publication of IIST Admission Rank list, the candidates must have to fill-in their choices of branch of study during October 2023.

How to Check the Merit List​

Candidates should follow the given steps to check IIST Rank List 2023:

• Visit the official website. (Link is provided above)
• Click on the link “Admission Rank List”.
• The result page will be displayed on the computer screen.
• Select your course.
• The merit list will be shown on the screen in a PDF format.
• Keep a printout copy of it for further reference.

Qualifying Marks​

Candidates, those wishing to join B.Tech course in IIST must have to appear for JEE Main 2023 exam & then appear for JEE Advanced 2023 exam. Check below, the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE Advanced 2023:

Tie Break Rules​

In case of same marks, the following tie-break rules will be applied such as:

• Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who will obtained higher marks in Mathematics.
• If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who secured higher marks in Physics.
• If there is a tie even after this, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who secured higher rank in JEE(Main)-2023 examination, in the respective category.

IIST Counselling 2023​

Candidates will be called for the counselling process on the basis of the category wise rank list. IIST 2023 Counselling will be organized through offline mode.

Candidates can download their counselling call letter to appear in the counselling / interview process. It will be started for PG courses.

During counselling, candidates have to present their documents in person. Candidate’s documents are verified by the counselling authority.

After document verification, candidates have to give their choices of the programme as per their preferences in writing.
