- A Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science, OR
- A Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course, selected through one of the following:

- National Level Examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and Institutions like DST, DBT, DAE, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc.
ICMR Job Salary 2024
The salary for the position is Rs. 31,000 per month, plus HRA as applicable.
