Calcutta University 2023 Application Form
Following are some details about form below:
- The application form for UG courses will release from second week of July to first week of August 2023.
- Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying for application form.
- Application form for Calcutta University 2023 will be available through online mode.
- Fill the application form with details such as personal, academic, phone number, email id, etc.
- The application form for PG courses will start from first week of September to second week of September 2023.
- Upload the scanned documents i.e., passport size photograph and signature.
- Candidates must take the printout of the application form for future reference.
Application Fee:
- The application fee will be paid through online mode only.
- Candidates can pay the fee using Debit card, Credit card, and Net Banking.
- The fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Calcutta University Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for Calcutta University 2023 are given below:
For Undergraduate courses:
- Qualification: Candidate must qualify 12th class or equivalent from any recognized board.
- Marks: In qualifying exam candidate must obtain at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST candidates).
- Scores: The candidate must have valid score of WBJEE to be eligible.
For Postgraduate courses:
- Qualification: Candidate must hold bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized university/ institute.
- Marks: The minimum marks candidate must obtain at least 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST category candidates).
- Appearing: Those candidates appearing in final year 2023 are eligible to apply for exam.
Calcutta University 2023 Exam Pattern
Check the exam pattern for PG courses given below:
- Mode of exam: The exam will be conducted in online mode for PG courses.
- Total question: The paper will contain total 50 questions in the question paper.
- Duration: The duration of exam will be 1 hour to solve the paper.
- Marking scheme: 1 marks will be given for every correct answer and ½ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Calcutta University 2023 Admission Procedure
Calcutta University 2023 Admission Procedure for UG courses for most courses such as BBA, B.Com, BA, B.Sc., will be based on the class 12th marks. For some courses such as B.Tech the Calcutta University will accepts the WBJEE scores.
For PG courses admission will be based on the candidates performance in qualifying exam and university will also accept the other national and state level entrance exam.
Calcutta University 2023 Entrance Exam
The university itself conducts the university level entrance exam for PG courses. For UG courses there will be no entrance exam admission will be given through WBJEE score and Merit list.
The entrance exam for PG course will be held in online mode. The duration of the exam will be 1 hour to complete the paper. After clearing the exam candidates will get admission in various courses such as M.Tech, MA, M.Com, etc.
Calcutta University 2023 Merit List
Calcutta University 2023 Merit list for UG course will release from third week of August 2023 and for PG course it will release from third week of September 2023. The merit list will be published through online mode for each registered candidate.
Merit list will be available in PDF format where candidates can download the list to know their ranks for further purpose. Candidates can check their result by entering User ID and Password. After releasing merit list candidates will be called for the counselling procedure on the basis of rank.
Calcutta University 2023 Counselling
The Calcutta University Admission 2023 will be based on the merit list. Candidates who will get shortlisted through the merit list have to attend counselling rounds. The counselling process is the final stage of the admission procedure where seat are allocated to the candidates based on the merit list and options filled by them.
The counselling process will be conducted in multiple rounds. Candidates will be notified about seat allocation through SMS on their registered number. Candidates have to submit the documents for verification round and some of the documents are:
- Calcutta University Admit card
- Class 10th marksheet/ certificate
- Class 12th marksheet/ certificate
- Demand draft
- Migration certificate
- Admission slip
- Declaration by candidate using Format II
